Money, money, money.....how much will Obama waste fighting Hillary? |
|
Hillary's campaign is done. There is no reasonable path for her to get enough delegates in the remaining contests to finish ahead of Obama, yet she fights on. The negative impact from her ridiculous attacks is obvious, but she may do the most damage to the party by forcing Obama to use his war chest fighting her and not McCain.
The democrats have a giant advantage in funds to use against McCain right now. It is time for Hillary to step aside and let the democrats focus on beating the republicans.

1. He can't get a majority either. |

Let all the Democrats decide.

2. If Obama's campaigning is a 'waste of money', |
|
isn't he wasting his supporters' money? What does that say about his supporters that continue to send him money 'to waste'?
Convoluted reasoning is a two-way street. ;)

7. No, unless Hillary drops out, he is forced to spend these funds. |

He will continue the big rallies, the truthful mailers, the accurate TV ads. Hillary doesn't like this but she is the reason that he must continue the spending of his available funds. Maybe, she'll win in the end, but this is less and less likely, as more and more voters decide their preferred candidate.

10. It is a zero sum game. Fight Hillary's negative attacks or fight McCain's. |
|
The only positive is that in both cases we are pushing back the frontiers of ignorance.

3. He's getting his name out there, so it's not a waste of money |
|
He's going to be campaigning no matter whether or not she's in the race. Let's see what happens on March 4th. After that I suspect Clinton won't have any money to run herself. If anything she's the one wasting money on a campaign that has lately done little to sell herself but a lot to try and drag Barack Obama down.

5. She is using the press now because she doesn't have the cash to advertise. |
|
That is why she is screaming for debates even after 19 and 20 scheduled.
It would be nice to be spending our time responding to the repugs specious attacks instead of Hillary's specious attacks. McCain has serious issues that the party could exploit if we could just get focused in that direction.

8. And, if Obama is ahead, how does he not get the nomination? |
|
I can't imagine a scenario where Clinton gets selected in this situation, without tearing apart the party. It won't happen.
