2. Im an Obama Supporter and it would be tough for me to vote for hillary.
She would have to convince me she would end this war, not start any new wars, and not punish poor people who cant afford health insurance by making them pay a fee.

Hillary's in your book? Who is more likely to be the war monger, Clinton or McCain? I can understand why you are conflicted.

3. I would reword the first option to read:
I'll hold my nose and vote for the Democratic nominee. But that's just me. I'd much rather have Kucinich on the ballot for President. A vote for Nadar would be a vote for the GOP, and that's worse than voting for either of the two front runners.

4. Other:
I am a leftist, I am still a Democrat, I'm still at DU, and I've known all along that I would not vote for a centrist in the GE. Obama and Hillary are off my table. It's a shame that Democratic voters yanked everyone else off, too, but there you go.

I have never considered voting for Nader. I won't begin to assess my options until after the convention, when the nominee is official. I'm still holding out a tiny thread of improbable hope for a brokered convention that would offer me a candidate I could, in good conscience, vote for. Absent that, I'll look at my options in late August.

Whatever I decide to do, I won't be posting about it here at DU after the convention. I hope that there will be someplace where people can still talk about something other than the GE. I know that there are some Democrats who realize that the election of a Democrat doesn't mean that we no longer need to discuss issues.

13. I agree with you. I won't decide what I will do in the GE until later, but
I will not vote for something or someone that I do not want. If who I vote for loses, then he/she loses, but as Debs said, "I'd rather vote for what I want and not get it, than vote for what I don't want and get it."

I hope that I can find a place to discuss the problems of this country without having to pay lip-service to a Party that is as much to blame for those problems as anything else...

Edited on Sun Feb-24-08 11:42 AM by Sarah Ibarruri
.... would now like to gouge Nader's eyes out LOLOL! I think Nader is right up there with Bush in being able to elicit in others a desire to seriously kick their skanky ass badly.

15. 10% of the respondents say
"I am a Obama supporter but if he loses I'd consider voting Nader or other 3rd Party"

1 respondent (2%) says "I am a Clinton supporter but if she loses I'd consider voting Nader or other 3rd Party"; that was not me, by the way.

a very informative poll, I must say.
