McCain would be no different than Bush as President

He has embraced Bush's agenda, speaks of '100 years in Iraq', sang "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran", and is in bed, literally and figuratively with the lobbyists he claims to have so much disdain for. That he wants to follow in the footsteps of a Fascist President with a 19% approval rating SHOULD speak volumes. There'll be NO chance of change with McCain as President, NONE. We need to get this message out to every Republican, Independent, and disaffected Democrat immediately. The MSM, as we all know, will be of no help to our candidate. This new age of internet awareness provides us Democrats with more opportunities than ever to get OUR message out, and to contrast it with the message of the bloodthirsty, robber-baron Republicans. Four more years of the Bush agenda could finally kill off the middle-class, and may result in a draft after Iran is invaded, certainly more jobs will be lost, and Roe v Wade may finally be overturned with the appointment of another ultra-conservative SCJ. The time has come to focus on keeping McCain out of the WH, and winning more seats for Dem candidates down-ticket.

term "maverick" to describe McCain and drive home the meme that independents like him.

DUers know that McCain is a one-note warmonger who offers nothing but more of the same old shit, but that's not how the media will portray him. He's already being given the kid gloves treatment and touted as an experienced war hero who will keep us safe.

We face an uphill battle in getting out the message that McCain is a disaster in the making in the face of a media that will be close to 100% united behind him.
