My GD:P pledge
Edited on Sun Feb-24-08 01:44 PM by mkultra
The acrimony has gone way to far. I want it to stop and my solution is to be the change i want to see.

So heres my background:

double decade democrat, Have loved most all of them but a big JFK fan.

The problem:
now supporting Obama, have allowed myself to be drawn into the battle where i have picked up the verbal sword and begun slashing.

The solution:
Start with an apology, for all to whom i have been hateful, my deepest apology is given and your forgiveness is sought.

The pledge:
I will no longer debate with acrimony or snarkiness but with humility.
I will no longer call down supporters of the other candidate(for me this would be hilary) for perceived insults or wrongs
i WILL call down all supporters for my candidate (for me Obama) engaged in rude behavior.
When it becomes clear i have hurt the feeling of another. I will apologize immediately.

So remember my nae and call me down if you see me do it. Remind me of my pledge.
Feel free to join me.
