Poll question: Which is more important to you: your issues or your candidate? |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-24-08 03:23 PM by andym
After reading the posts here in favor or against the two remaining candidates for the nomination, I am struck by the similarity of their positions. Of course, there are differences as well. I am curious to know for those who care enough to post in this forum, which is more important to you: the issues that you care most about or your candidate. If issues, please describe them. If candidate feel free to state reasons.

I see HUGE differences between the candidates because I've been paying attention to the absolutely NOTHING that Hillary has done for the last 8 years, except support Bush. Consequently, I think Obama is more in line with my thoughts on the issues. But I equally think he is the best candidate to come along in such a long time that we would just be stupid to let this opportunity pass us by.

5. Seems I recall a national poll |
|
most American's first priority is a candidates' character . To me that means charisma. What ever the hell that is. Only goes to show how so many Americans easily become addicted to snake oil salesmen. Not this household. Its issues and how vigorous a candidate has been an advocate of our issues.

6. I think Obama & Clinton are nearly identicle on the issues.. |
|
so i voted for the candidate. I think Obama is going to be much more likely to get things to actually pass through. Hillary wants to fight the very people who's cooperation she's going to need. Obama is willing to work with those people to get things to pass.
I don't want another 4 - 8 years of people sitting around not doing shit because the other side won't do what they want. We have a president now with the same mentality as Clinton... and it's gotten us nowhere, and they haven't gotten much (thank GOD) either. Abortion is still legal, Social Security isn't private, etc.
