Relax fellow Obama supporters. Hill's screwing herself.
and here's why. It may not be fair, in fact it's not, but Hill's playing into every negative stereotype around. Obama has been careful not to be viewed as the "angry black man". Hillary's fucking her own candidacy by playing into the stereotype as a virago. Angry, carping and lecturing in a questionable tone of voice, does not win votes. It loses them. In particular, it loses male votes, but not just male votes. Women stereotype other women almost as much as men.

The more negative, dear hilly goes, the better it is for Obama. Think SC and Wisconsin. We're talking about a candidate and campaign that are spectacularly, jaw droppingly tone deaf.

Her newest tactic won't work, and Obama will take advantage of it. He's not like hilly who's tried on one persona after another in a desperate attempt to win votes. He knows who he is.

1. Yup...It's
ugly and unprofessional. When she does this sort of thing she does not look like a leader, let alone a president. She just looks out of control.

I'm worried about her going so far off the deep end that she ends up inadvertenty (or purposefully) making claims and attacks that end up in GOP attack ads in November.

46. If that happens
It will help Obama with Indies and moderate Rethugs. She is quickly becoming poisonous as an ally to all thos who aren't firmly in her corner. Obama can and will use her negative attacks against him to his advantage. Hell, he already is. That is one reason he's the best politician I've ever seen.

he's doing fine. and my point is that hillary turns voters off when she does this shit. As for the rest of your less than intelligable post; there is no such word as "inexistent". And we're not relaxing, we're working on beating the hell out of her here in VT on March 4. I think we can keep her around 30%. Who gives a shit if hilly's little supporters are militant? She's losing and she'll be gone soon. say bye bye hilly.

13. I have a question?
Did Obama say why he doesn't wear the flag lapel? They are making a big deal out of it on CNN. I know why I don't and why I hardly even put my flag out anymore.

It was after 9-11 when I put it out for a long time but then it started going nuts for the repubs and they started acting like they owned the damn flag. It got so crazy I started to dislike having it out at all. It started to symbalize republican phoniness to me instead of patriotism.

After 9-11 back then I was working in travel at AAA and I had this cool mikey mouse lapel where mikey was holding an american flag. I wore that for a year or two.

So it pisses me off that the very people who have taken my great flag and made me dislike it have the nerve to bug Obama for not wearing it, like having a damn flag wrapped around you is what makes you patriotic.

Makes me think of that pic of Stephen Colbert naked wrapped in the american flag...that is how I think of conservatives and the flag.

20. That's why he doesn't wear it. He said so many politicians were
wearing them, and that those flag pins were the only thing patriotic about them. He said the lapel pins had lost any meaning.

Edited on Sun Feb-24-08 06:08 PM by Quixote1818
All this time she thought the American people would want to Marry her but then when things got serious they dumped her and went for Obama. Now she is feeling vulnerable and making a series of blunders because her emotions have overtaken her ability to reason. In real life someone in this type of situation would need to take a break from dating until they can get back on their feet but she still thinks she can win back her lover by becoming mean and attacking the person her ex-lover fell in love with.

19. I'm not worried, but I am very disgusted.
HRC has terrible advisers. This "strategy" (if it truly is a strategy and not a meltdown) is pathetic.

Yes, it's going to hurt her campaign. I'm certain that Obama will come out on top.

Even so, I can't be gleeful about the fact that she's hurting herself. She is a Democrat and by extension she is hurting us all. How much of the Democratic Party or at least of our unity will she bring down with her?

and I feel sorry for all the good people who threw their hopes behind her-we ALL supported and defended the Clintons all these years and to see this-it's just sad. It's like watching Mickey Mantle try to play baseball in 1968-someone who was your hero who can't do it anymore and by continuing to try-makes themselves look bad-The Mick always regretted playing that last season which dropped his lifetime BA under .300

in the car and I heard him saying some horrible shit about Hillary Clinton. I'm thinking "this guy has lost it". My bassist was his chef at the time and he had told me about him doing a LOT of drugs-I knew the whole staff. After hearing him that day I came on DU and outed him as a junkie-(Oustemnow-Rush Is a Fat Junkie threads) it was BECAUSE of my reaction and DEFENSE of Hillary Clinton that I did it.

I've defended her through the years myself, although not on as large a scale. I didn't find DU until fairly recently in the scheme of things.

The upcoming debate promises to be a treat for Republicans and and political sadists alike. The pundits are already referring to it as, "There will be blood." Let's hope not.

24. I'm not worried about it at all. It bothers me because it's sad and pathetic
and not a little disgusting the way she's been acting. She's dragging down the whole party and pissing away her own dignity. I've been very sadly surprised to see this disintegration happen right before the eyes of the entire country, and I have lost nearly all respect for her. I don't like that feeling.

30. South Carolina and Wisconsin, indeed.
When you're out of money heading into Ohio and Texas, when your field operation in Ohio, your "firewall", has been outnumbered 23 offices to 11 of your own, I guess you have no choice but to lash out and go negative.

It's a hail Mary. It's a gasp. It's heartbreaking.

And it's not going to work. It's the worst of politics and I suppose in the end, suiting that the campaign would choose to wrap on this note.

See you on March 4th, Hillary. Ohio for Obama!
