Why Does CNN Keep Pushing Hillary As the Front Runner?
Edited on Tue Feb-26-08 07:22 PM by From The Left
The only one at CNN who reads the results of the last 10 primary and caucus state races since Super Tuesday is Jack Cafferty. All the rest: Leslie Blitzer, John King, Gloria Borger and Susan Malvauex, just keep pushing against the tide to make Hillary the front runner.

I swear, on the day when Barack Obama is sworn into office next January, CNN will have a segment titled "What Hillary Clinton can do to turn this race around."

5. They always combined Super and Pledged Delegates to make it look like she always had a big lead
I guess they have not backed off from that distortion as of yet.

Just for the record, she never had a lead in pledged delegates, he won Iowa and never gave up that lead.

6. CNN=Clinton News Network
The Hillary Herd didn't notice and refuse to acknowledge, but Hillary has got more than her share of air time (not just negative) at CNN. I can remember when the race was close, entire newscasts without a mention of Obama's name, with 5 minutes devoted to Hillary.

Some things don't change.

When/if Hillary suspends her campaign (big if) they will spend a large amount of time speculating whether Hillary will accept the VP WHEN (not if) it is offered....that will keep them busy until day 2 or 3 or maybe 4 of the convention!

7. They're just aiming for balance.
I watch CNN most of the time and I haven't felt they're horribly biased or anything. They don't want to be accused of ganging up on anyone one candidate. Thus you probably see more of Huckabee on CNN than anywhere else as well.

8. If you remember when the Debates started Hillary got more air time
than any of the other candidates, Dennis got squat, Dodd got squat, Biden got squat.

Hillary was given the most time out of any of the candidates to answer questions and face time except
for Wolfie.

That was documented

13. Let them--for God's sake, let them.
If she still has the "front-runner" mantle, then it's all the better for Obama--he gets the underdog role by default, a role which he thrives in.

(NOTE: CNN is delusional).

22. I don't get that impression.
Rather, I think they portray her as more like... the loser. I don't think the news networks like her very much.
