You know, it's a sad state of affairs when just about everyone, and I do mean everyone,
is asking, "Which Hillary is going to show up for the debate tonight?"

How in hell did it ever get to this????

Sad and pathetic.

2. HRC brought it on herself
Edited on Tue Feb-26-08 08:07 PM by Ken Burch
She needs to face reality and get out of the race. She'll never be electable again and everyone knows it.

There's no good reason to ever stay with a damaged candidate.

Once your popularity starts dropping, it can never recover. She just needs to get out with dignity and get behind Obama.

8. Hillary doesn't need to get out til she's mathematically eliminated-
and that hasn't happened yet!

Why are you Obamacans so anxious for Hillary to get out? Is it because you re afraid some scandal that Barack can't quash will come to light?

14. No, it's because all HRC can do from now on is do damage
At this point, at best she's like Hubert Humphrey in 1972, lashing out desperately at McGovern and bringing him down when McGovern had done nothing to Humphrey to deserve such treatment.

HRC owes it to the party to accept that she isn't inevitable, that she's not going to win, and that Obama, who probably will, deserves a united party and a fighting party.

HRC can only cause bitterness by staying in, and we both know she'll have no right to ask African Americans to support her in the fall if she wins dirty, which is the only way she can win from this point on.

She had her chance. She should withdraw gracefully, then Obama can give her the next Supreme Court appointment, which will give her more power for a longer time than as president.

17. The only people doing damage to the party
are people like you who are afraid of letting Democracy take its normal course.

Let the people vote, count the votes, then take it from there.

Only repukes are afraid of letting people vote!

20. why are they afraid to let these upcoming states vote?
Why should anyone be impressed with an argument that says voters casting their ballots and registering their choice in a divided election is 'damaging'?

25. You're mischaracterizing the statement. It's not that voters shouldn't
cast their votes. It's that some of us really want the embarrassment to stop.

Let her stay in until the convention. Who knows how many potential votes she can alienate between now and then. But, it is her right to do that, isn't it?

It can't be positive for her to stay in and keep attacking our frontrunner.

36. I will condemn her staying in if she loses EITHER TX or OH
It has nothing to do with fear about some Obama scandal. It has to do with dragging things out when she doesn't have a chance in hell of winning and weakening Obama. We need a nominee by the end of March at the latest, so we can focus on the repubs and McCain.

13. No, but I do suggest that you read up her her positions and Obamas.
You may also want to examine the reasons why she voted for the IWR unlike many of her colleagues.

She knew she was running for president and didn't want to appear weak to the repubs. If you think that is a good rationale for sending our military into a war of choice, then your choice is clear. If not, then rethink who you will cast your vote for.

27. Obama isn't trying to reinvent himself in five directions at the same time.
She should have chosen a persona and stuck with it. What is happening now just makes her look bad.

Sometimes I wonder who is really running her campaign. It looks like a committee of dyslexic people.

22. What's Amazed Me Through All Of This Process, Is How In Love With Media Portrayal So Many Here Have
all of a sudden become. It's fascinating, how when the media says what you want about who you want, and attacks who you want them to attack, how suddenly they're the most trusted and accurate outlets in the world. I'm amazed at how many DU'ers have fallen prey to such a mentality, and how many of them have completely failed to objectively see the games the media has played with all of this. If anything has been sad and pathetic, it's been that.
