Edited on Tue Feb-26-08 08:41 PM by Perky
I just don't understand how Hillary supporters can look objectively at this dat and not be the lease bit concerned about this data. Is swing states after swing state It is abundantly clear that people like Obama more tha McCaiin and McCain more than Clinton. The election swing about 10 point in each of thes states depending on the Dem nominee...Even New Yorker like Obama mor than Hillary.

We do not need an eelction where we win with 275 electoral votes....We do not need another loss by 10 elecotral votes.

We need to win with a huge mandate.

We have no hope of that with Hillary.

1. "I just don't understand how Hillary supporters can look objectively at this data"

Hillary supporters are a lot of things.... objective isn't one of them.

5. And their candidate is ENTITLED to the nomination.
Because...because...well, because THEY say so, that's why.

4. Too far out for that
Obama was all but done during the first debates..no one even notic3ed him...until now. We are way too far out for that..don't forget the rethug kill machine, they will stoop to lows never seen before.

6. They'll do that to HRC too. And her primary campaign proves she can't fight back.
If she could, she'd HAVE the damn nomination.

7. I've been looking at a lot of that data too
You've posted a lot of states and polls that I had not seen, but the ones you supply all point in the same general direction, and are generally consistent with what I have seen.

I did spot one poll, however that put Clinton substantially better than Obama against McCain in one state. I don't remember who did the poll, but I remember the state was Alabama where McCain beat Obama by over twenty points, and only beat Clinton by about 10 points.

11. I have pulled all the data fro this site
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/latestpolls/index.html

also check out pollster.com. I think they have a few more polls tha RCP but it is organized a little less efficiently.

8. If DU were around in 1988
Dukakis supporters would be posting the same data, showing him with a 16-20 point lead over HW Bush nationally (as well as in many states). If I had the search option, I would see what they were posting for similar matchups showing Kerry ahead by 10. The unknown candidate by and large, ALWAYS does better than the known candidate in these polls.

10. According to the Obama supporters...
all the poll data shows is that the pollsters have been busy. Hillary's current position is still neck and neck with Obama. He has not pulled ahead of this position as yet.

If Hillary fails, Obama succeeds as the nominee and then the full floodlights will fall on him like a tsunami...as will all the Repugnants.

As yet, the Repugs are treating him with kid gloves. But they are ready and I don't believe that he can handle that. His record of distancing himself from any important fray is a case in point.

Gonna be interesting as this election winds down.
