HRC's supporters STILL insist that we have to nominate her because "she can fight back against the right-wing machine" in the fall and, as they see it, Obama can't.
If that is true, why HASN'T HRC been able to fight back against Obama with any success in the last month and a half?
If she can't handle Mr. Hope and Change, how can she come anywhere close to laying a glove on McCain?
Explain that one?

6. Even more importantly, Obama seems to shine when he fights back |
|
The way he's addressed the McCain and Clinton attacks has really impressed me. He hits back with grace and power.

9. No, I'm saying that Obama's performance against a candidate |
|
whose supporters felt she was so certain to be nominated that all the other candidates should basically drop out of the race in advance shows that he is much more formidable as a candidate and potential nominee than anyone had predicted.
And I'm saying that it's silly to say that HRC is the better fighter against the right-wing attack machine when she hasn't even been able to lay a glove on a guy whose middle name is Hussein.
HRC has no claim to being a better candidate anymore if she's behind in a race that's comparatively been much nicer than anything anyone would face in the fall. Get it?
She can't be both losing now and a better candidate later. The logic of staying with HRC has collapsed.

Actually, I was referencing the POW thing to point out how potent that will be when the GOP propaganda machine starts hitting it hard at their convention.
And I've now deleted it.

12. Can you translate your sentence into English, please? This one: |
|
"If the can't handle Mr. Hope and Change, how can she come anywhere close to laying a glove on Hanoi John?"
I can't find a Gibberish-to-English dictionary anywhere on the Internet.

13. Embrace change. Hillary is status quo, and Obama is change. McCain is Bush. |
|
There isn't much logic to it. It's simply over-the-top emotionalism because of past loyalties to the Democrats.
Obama is change. We are going to change the course in Iraq. We are going to change the direction of political discourse in this country. We are going to change America.
Notice I said "we", that's because I embrace change.

14. Because you're talking about two different blocs of voters |
|
Like it or not, those who would vote for him in the primary will largely vote for the Democratic nominee regardless of whether it's her or him. The fight she has now is with the left and with a star personality; neither will be an issue come November.
Well, you asked...

16. "Those who would vote for him in the primary will largely vote for the Democratic nominee |

regardless of whether it's her or him"?
So, you're admitting the "Obama only wins on GOP crossover types voting to sabotauge our chances" meme is a lie?
You basically have to.
Because you can't say that and then still say "HRC can get votes in the fall that Obama can't".
And you ALSO can't say "HRC is the choice of REAL Democrats" anymore either.

17. I'm not going to apologize for saying this: The term "Hanoi John" is fucking disgusting. |
|
No matter how much any of us may dislike Senator McCain now, and I'm among those who dislike him the most, that epithet is below contempt.
No matter what he says or does now, he DID suffer THEN, in ways that you simply cannot imagine. And making light of the suffering he went through is despicable.
