Being "thrilled" on Monday, and not so come Friday, as a for instance, is to look right past whatever history or event(s) have impacted upon not only the "thrilled" person, but the time-line itself.

So that she wasn't both thrilled and not thrilled simultaneously, at once, within the same moment in temporal space/time...but that, that time had played out or spun-out (and no, not "spun" like 'spin', but spun-out like fishing line in a reel), and matters are become flavored, to put it mildly, by yet another seasoning so as to suggest.
