Hillary's whining last night about being asked the questions first is NOT very presidential!
How can anyone expect her to run the country with an attitude like that?
So much for being a "fighter".

23. Hillary didn't want to debate for her senate seat.
In 2006, our local news (RNN) tore congresswoman Sue Kelly a new one for not wanting to debate her challenger John Hall; but they let Hillary take a slide.

New Yorkers never had a chance to see who Hillary was up against in '06. The GOP never $upported their republican candidate. It was as if the GOP wanted Hillary to regain her seat. If the repukes wanted to put an end to Hillary’s presidential candidacy, they could have easily stopped her two years ago.

Imagine how she'd piss and moan at a press conference where she was being asked ALL the questions.

Talk about non-presidential. Sheesh.

56. That's the downside of going second
When you go first you get to frame the answer a bit. Unfortunately that also leaves you open to attack.

Going second gives you the opportunity to rebut, but if you have an agreement with your opponent it doesn't give you a lot to talk about.

53. "Cool" added to dictionary in 1951
Cool adverb (1951): in a casual and nonchalant manner

Cool adjective (before 12th century)
2a: marked by steady dispassionate calmness and self-control
2d: free from tensions or violence

If you are implying the "kiddie" sarcasm, you are 60 years behind the times
(or perhaps 900 years behind, depending on precise historical use and definition).

Hillary: Does Barack need a pillow?

Clinton notes that she's often taken the first question at debates, and references the Saturday Night Live sketch on the media love for Obama:

"Maybe we should ask Barack if he's comfortable and needs another pillow," she says.

Now when they do it, you call it whining. You just remember, if Obama gets the nod, he will be in the same position, so when he decides to point out the unfairness of the process, I hope you see it the same way you see it for Hillary. At least be consistent.

47. If Obama is pointing something out, he is being "assertive" while Hillary is "whining"
If he changes strategy, it is "honing and fine-tuning" while she is accused of having a mental illness like multiple personality disorder.

Just reading DU is getting really frustrating. Even a lot of female DUers are just parroting the gender stereotypical language.

42. I agree. It was petty of her in the extreme to make an issue of the form of the debate, and not
just go ahead and answer the question. This is an election with life-death implications (actually, it could be argued that every presidential race is), and for her to take time out and complain about how unfair Russert/Williams were being by asking her to respond first was minor league.

I have been in trial, but I heard a clip of the "SNL" answer on the radio. Damn. It sounded canned, it sounded like the uncool person trying to be hip, and I'm still not sure what her point was. Was she trying to be funny? Was she complaining? Even if she had a point, she didn't pull it off. If that is the kind of advice she is getting in the war room... oh my.
