Seriously, between this moran and SonnyBubba (the guv) praying for rain as an answer to our drought on the capitol steps...

We are in a race with ourselves to the bottom. My husband and I are looking for jobs and a house in another state now.

34. His name is Barack Hussein Obama. There is nothing wrong with his
name. It is a good name, one he should be proud of. I cannot believe that "smart" Democrats are allowing this to be controlled by the RW smear bastards. Obama and we should use his three names all the time. This is ridiculous to allow this to become an issue. It is his name - that is all it is. I cannot believe that mature, adult people are reacting to this in such a school-yard manner...

That's a fact.

Of course, the context in which is was pointed out was race-baiting.

I do not believe mature, adult people would play dumb on the issue.

40. Okay. So you tell me how Obama should handle this "delicate"
issue? Some one uses his name - should a surrogate immediately cry' "Bigotry "Racism!"? Because some one used his...name? His real, honest to god name? People who are reacting to his name as though it were a curse are the ones who are showing insensitivity on this subject. If he cannot have his middle name spoken in public, then we are all in huge trouble...

42. I think surrogates should point out racists, yes.
Racist should be exposed and shunned everywhere.

I think Obama himself has better things to do then respond to bigots.

43. So you really believe that if his name is ever used in public, it is
a racist smear? I just don't know what to say to that. Obama cannot deny his name or run from it. This is absolutely the wrong way to deal with this issue...

47. We are just on completely different wave-lengths, here.
I think that to accept that any use his name is a racist smear is, itself, a kind of back-handed racism.

William Jefferson Clinton, George Walker Bush, George Herbert Walker Bush, James Earl Carter, Richard Milhous Nixon, Lyndon Baines Johnson, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Dwight David Eisenhower, Franklin Delano Roosevelt - Barack Hussein Obama. I think that his name stacks up there very nicely. I refuse to allow the mouth-breathers and the inbred moronic few to dictate to me how I view anything. Senator Obama has a fine, good name, one he should be proud of.

51. You are absolutely wrong. I am not, at all race baiting. I wouldn't do that.
I have not supported Obama or Clinton, but I honestly think that viewing the use of Obama's name as automatically a racist smear, is the totally wrong way to go. Calling people bigots or racists for using Obama's name is the worst thing in the world his campaign or his supporters could do - and I truly believe that. If this is the tact that the Obama campaign is going to take, this will be a festering sore from now until November. This needs to be put to bed and since Hussein is his name, it must be dealt with in some way other than crying "racism" every time.

Good luck! :hi:

18. What is Hillary's middle name?
How about John McCain?
How aobut John Kerry?
How about John Edwards?
How about Dennis Kucinich?
How about Mike Gravel?
How about Chris Dodd?

When have you EVER heard any of them named with their middle name on TV? I have NEVER heard any of their middle names on TV.

It is said to connect him to Saddam Hussein. You know that. Don't pretend to be ignorant.

32. I know that to try and make the claim that using his name - HIS NAME -
is inherently racist will hurt him in the long run. As I have said repeatedly, he, and we, need to get in front of this and stop acting as though Obama should be ashamed of his name! He has a fine name and only idiots and morons will ever have any problem with it. When he becomes President, his middle name will become widely known as most President's middle names are. To act like no one is ever going to hear his name or that he should run from it or claim bigotry against anyone who uses it will not work well for him. He has to embrace it, own it, and get it behind him the sooner the better. We all should start using his three names all the time - make it so that it means nothing at all except his middle name. Making a big deal out of it looks bad for him and Democrats in general.

44. On Stephanie Miller yesterday...
They were reading from some official government source on flag etiquette. The regulations state that a flag is not to be worn as a decoration, and that only military personnel, police officers and some selected others, may display an American flag on their clothing, and then only in the form of a patch.

SO A FLAG PIN IS FRIGGIN' UNPATRIOTIC, YOU MORANS!

--in order to distinguish himself from the hucksters, thieves and criminals known here as the BFEE, or Bushco. Who wants to be associated with that band of hijackers and their shallow cronies & idiot followers, who insist that that a little flag pin indicates their level of patriotism?

Look what damage has been done by those who wear the flag pin. Nothing else could say "change" more
clearly than NOT wearing that emblem of membership in the nefarious neo-conservative fraternity.
