It's rampant and celebrated by many on this forum.

You know...Bob Dylan sang about it..'How does it feel?' You guys have fun electing BO without the backbone of the Dem party.

And maybe you should check out a book on patriarchy while you're learning words like sexist, OK? Your consciousness could be raised to another level...you know evolve.

Yeah, and after a firefight, what is left that's worth having?

Maybe you ought to check out a book on manners, and winning friends and influencing people; because your condescension is flat out ugly.:puke:

70. Life isn't a popularity contest.
I find sexism and patriarchy flat out ugly so I speak out so to demonstrate it to those who are Willfully Ignorant.

I don't want friends who consider me inferior. And I'm certainly not going to treat them kindly...would you?

So go read a book on patriarchy...until such time, I have nothing to say that would open your consciousness and help you to evolve. I'm not here (believe it or not) to teach you with ladylike kid gloves. You are responsible for your enlightenment.

Don't like the fire when it's aimed at you, do you?

buh bye.

66. Funny thing about that
My fiancee, who does not post here, said the following in 2006 when I mentioned that I posted here:

"Are you serious? That place is incredibly sexist!"
I asked for clarification, and she told me about how she has read a number of blog and feminist forum posts about the rampant sexism here. I said that it probably isn't as bad as she thought, but now I'm starting to wonder.

The comments about her appearance, clothing, voice, etc., are despicable. She is my least favorite of all the candidates, but if she ultimately pulls off the nomination, I will picture the look on the faces of misogynistic losers as I mark her name on the ballot. And it will make it feel better.

How so? Isn't there somebody that many here call "Chimpy". Is that somehow not a comment on appearance? Wasn't it Al Gore who always got trashed for his "earth tones"? So apparently comments about clothing, while they are really, really stupid, are not limited to one candidate.

It boggles the mind.

Hillary is losing because she isn't the world class politician WE all thought she was.

Everything else is just smokescreen and excuses. Sexism exists in this country. If she and her political team haven't adequately prepared to fight it, then she has no one to blame but herself.

It ain't right, but it is what it is.

I find it laughable that if you don't support Hillary Clinton as a candidate that you may just be a sexist.

I would assume the same person who would accuse of such a thing who doesn't support Obama is clearly a racist.

It's the two color crayon set mentality...a black one and a white one.

You have no idea if these posters are true Obama supporters (any more than some of the really racist comments are truly from Hillary supporters). Their trollish comments do not reflect anything Obama stands for. So quit labeling them Obama supporters. You are the one insulting hissupporters.

Meaning quite clearly: if you are a Barack supporter and a sexist, then shut the fuck up.

A post could speak to the Hillary supporters who pretend to be sexist Obama supporters to garner sympathy, or to the trolls among us, but since they will out themselves soon enough anyway, I didn't really see the point.

advances started in 1980 with Raygun. That's 27 years ago!!! And the religious folks have been very busy! I read some poll where young women think it's OK for gay marriage but not abortion!!!! Total brainwashing by our TVs. Look at the sitcoms...ugly men married to women with lots of cleavage. Oh...and don't forget...the PORN! My goddess...college guys tell counselors that they would rather stay home with the computer on Friday night and jack-off...'After all real girls are just bad porn stars.'

The objectification of women has been going on for 27 years.

I am amazed that all of a sudden there are 4 strip joint with in mile radius of my house. I wish women had other jobs to my decent money these days....and the new thing that males like is pregnant women stripping. I hate our culture. It's sadly cruel.
