Ok, we all know the economy is on the verge of collapse, or at least some bad-ass stagflation.
I am amazed at how the shell game has been kept going the past couple years, despite no decent job creation,
and skyrocketing prices of energy and food. The Fed has pulled out all the stops to just barely keep things afloat.
Now, of course, the easy dumb credit of the past 5 years is drying up, and consumers cannot spend their way out of this with all the good paychecks simply dwindling or being sent to China. So, when things go more OBVIOUSLY sour in a year or two, Joe Sixpack blames whoever is in office then. Could the Pubbies let a Dem in so they can take the fall, and the pubbies clinch it in 2012? Since the Dem nominee will be either a woman or black, this is double good for the right-wing knuckledraggers. THe right can take over again in 2012 and set back progress on gender and race back just like they are dragging down the economy. We will truly be a twenty-first century banana republic, and the right will be able to blame it all on the Dems and reign supreme. Sound plausible? How can this be prevented?

5. Yes!
Actually, the smartass reply I was going to use here probably isn't needed.

The last eight years has setup a situation with whoever wins, McCain, Obama, Clinton, or Xenu, having to face the fucking disaster of a fiscal and foreign policy nightmare we've been left with. Whoever takes control is going to need to be ready to make certain the American people know what a big job this is going to be and that it won't happen overnight, muy pronto.
