kucinich person here...just watched the debate.... HRC came across whiny and unprofessional
that comment on being picked first and refrencering SNL....

then her being slapped down with her own words multiple times...

Being in Oregon I dont think I'll be able to help in the selection processes as our primary election is so far out but after last night if we were voting tomorrow I would go for Barack after her performance.

wow.

6. Funny thing, Kucinich is not going to win his Primary either.
Kucinich will be job hunting after Tuesday.

Maybe the two of them can hold onto each other and cry after March 4th.

Kucinich types, i am sure I'd not be a Democrat. Better not get rid of the few who do not turn coat on us; or we'd follow suit and leave too.

39. Cimperman has a big honking deficit to make up
in just a few days. As of the 27th, it's

Kucinich 55%
Cimperman 29%

Hope you don't mind, but Kooch is whaling the tar out of his opponents.

3. Nice to hear an undecided perspective
Although if I were you, I'd make the last part of your title part of the post instead. Just call the post "Kucinich person's impressions of the debate"...doesn't come off as a flame war that way.

I'm glad to hear that the debate pushed you toward Barack. As as supporter I was really proud of him last night. And I'm sorry things didn't work out for Kucinich. I was never a supporter but I did like his health care plan, and I was wishing he was there last night to point out how phony the debate between Clinton and Obama on the issue is.

4. Thanks for your review...
I just saw that clip of her complaining about being first and saying it was "allright" when clearly it wasn't and referencing SNL to make her point.

I remember cnn was helping hilaryland in the beginning at some debate and there weren't any objections from camp hilary.

7. Kucinich supporters here, too.
Ever since Kucinich dropped out, we just watched a couple debates. The left overs seem like amateurs. if we were to watch, we might become even more apathetic. So what ever happens , happens. We vote for what ever left overs are still standing after Denver. I say, the protests of Michigan and Florida have merit. The way the primaries are handeled. We need change the process.

it was her worst debate yet.

Clinton started out with that beef about the Obama campaign's emails to Ohioans which seemed calculated to set an adversarial tone but she did sound whiny. On the other hand maybe others saw it as appropriately "tough."

I felt like I was watching one of those trumped up challenges on Survivor. One of these guys isn't gonna remain on the island. (Yawn)

Instead of another debate, let's have them run an obstacle course. This thing has reached the ridiculous stage.

21. She was referring to being asked to respond first on every question...
in the portion of the debate where they both got to respond to the same question. Obama could simply say he agreed with Hillary and then add in his own point or two, or object to some difference and use his entire time to expound on that particular point.

They should have been more evenly divided as to who got each question first.

22. Again, there had been exactly TWO questions asked when she said that.
And if you watched the debate in its entirety, the argument fell flat. They most certainly didn't favor asking the first question of any particular candidate. They did a nice job of rotation.

The comment just came off as petty and combative.

24. She said it on the third question. Three in a row,
amd in 5 of the last 6 debates.

One of those was decided by coin toss, and Obama chose to go second, so that is his preference for whatever reason. The media is accomodating him.

1. First question asked about her comment regarding her statement to the press about Obama campaign flyers in Ohio.

The first 15 minutes of the debate was a discussion on healthcare in response to this question.

At the 15:25 mark, she complains about getting the first question all the time.

So...two.

41. No, that is not "the usual DU meme"
It's a bullshit charge that's continually fired at Obama supporters by a very small but disproportionately vocal handful of pro-Hillary trolls who will find something better to do as soon as she drops out of the race.

I understand your overall point, but this transparent, disingenuous tactic is not the usual DU meme.

Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 03:28 AM by pokerfan
And I don't think she did. She even went out of her way to sound anything but. She just saw it as an opportunity to launch another one of her scripted zingers, this time 'pillow' instead of 'xerox.'

But the biggest problem is that it made her look weak. Can you imagine Bill taking that route? I sure as hell can't.

I just want this over. I will be 'fine' with either candidate at this point.
