Don't you think Barack is the next president?
It seems as if it's already a done deal so why are we having all these discussions? I was originally an Edwards supporter but I'll take Obama. Who have the Repubs got? McCain? Get real. He has no chance.

Discuss.

1. Discuss?
Ok...

I think that Obama or Clinton or McCain will be the next POTUS.

What do you think?

3. I just meant that it seems as if he's already been appointed
or crowned whichever you prefer. I'll be happy to be rid of * whether it's Hillary or Obama but from what I've seen I believe it will be Obama.

4. If Obama is to be the candidate he should take advantage of the
primaries to hone his message and raise cash. HIllary would be best served by the same advice. As long as the primary fights don't turn into fighting below the belt, its good for the eventual general election.

5. Absollutely not. This is still America.
And some things we just have not overcome yet...like the Civil War.

7. The generations of people under-50 years old are trying to overcome it...
....and a good percentage of those over-50 as well.

Once the old curmudgeon's die off, America won't see "race" anymore.

I submit that, among those under 50 years old, 3/4 of the people are already there.

6. We need to treat this campaign as if we're 20 points down and the underdog....

That said I'm looking forward to the debates. McCain is weak. He doesn't appear presidential. He is not popular.

But Obama needs to consider this race as if he's way behind and needs to work hard to catch up.
