Obama isn't afraid of the Republicans |
|
As long as I remember, the major Democrats were always afraid of what the right was going to do, so they took carefully calculated political positions to try to avoid conflicts with the opposing party.
Obama just takes on the right head on, without losing his cool. He directly calls out the right on their BS and turns the attacks against them. The republicans have no clue to handle him because after 8 years, the only thing they can do is BS, and Obama won't let them get away with it anymore. This is so refreshing to see from a Democrat.

He just throws their RW crap right back at them and they don't know WTF to do about it. Hey, spineless Dems in the Congress.....take a hint!!!!
I hope that if Obama is elected on Day 1 he calls in the entire Dem makeup of the Senate and House and tells them how things are gonna be for the next four years. He's going to have to be tough with them or those entrenched assholes will run over him just like bushco has been doing to them these past 7 years.
Kick some ass Barack!!!

I've noticed this about Barack. The Primary was nothing to him. But taking on McCain? Now, he welcomes that debate. He seems to get pleasure from throwing McCain's idiotic BS back at him. This war that we got into for the wrong reasons has most decent people enraged. You can sort of see that beneath the cool surface he puts on. I don't think his primary opponent has that. She doesn't seem too enraged over it. Maybe I'm reading it wrong. But I loved his response about "al-Quada in Iraq". He was quick to pick up on the phraseology they intend to use (maybe not anymore now), and now he OWNS it. Now it's "al-Quada in Afghanistan". He is smooth as hell.

where BushInc's BS became better known to the public.
Obama has the advantage of going into this race AFTER Gore, Kerry, Dean, Murtha, Feingold and a few others all took the worst of the public hits for daring to oppose Bush.
Post Bush's plotting against Social Security, Schiavo, and Katrina.....as well as the revelations of lies on Iraq make a HUGE difference this goround.
Let's not give short shrift to those who STUCK IT OUT AGAINST BushInc to oppose him when he was at 90%, 80%, 70% 60%, 50% and when ALL the corporate media was protecting his image shamelessly.

going against the republican machine head on for what they believe in.
Obama approaches the republicans in a way no other Dem is doing it. While others are preparing to fight a broken enemy, Obama is preparing to lead this country in the right direction.

The way was paved by many, and credit where credit is due.
But there's no doubt that Obama is cool under pressure, and I think he'll demolish McCain. I want to give him credit where it is due as well.

7. Damn, if only Hillary had been "cool" |
|
She wouldn't have taken the hits from the right-wing attack machine that cause her to "unite the opposition."
And St. Obama couldn't have used the effects of those right-wing attacks against Hillary. This is a shocking new perspective.
