Obama People: Post Something Positive about Hillary Clinton |
|
Without using snark or sexism, while understanding that you are a democrat who should unite behind the Democratic Party, post something positive about your First Lady Contender for the White House.
Let's see how far the torch can be carried.
I'll ask the same thing from HRC supporters, but it might be more fair if an Obama supporter does it. To be fair, there are people with whom I've sparred that might have a bad reaction to seeing an olive brach. Hopefully, and Obama supporter will see fit to do the same, yanno?

which was what the OP requested. She'll leave the race soon enough, I think, and then we need to pull together to beat the GOP. In the meantime, it's not too hard to come up with some good things to say about here, no matter how the primary season has gone so far.

But, hey, it is a campaign, and sometimes they get nasty. What the hell, she's in to win it. I say to hell with those Hillary supporters that are just plain nasty, but I wouldn't take it out on Hillary just because some of them are bitter.

7. She's a great Senator.... |
|
Some people have legislative personalities and mindsets. Hillary is one of them. Along with Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd, and others. Policy wonks.
Other people have executive personalities and mindsets. Obama is one of them.
Hillary impressive PASSION for Healthcare and all the nuances therein is part of this LEGISLATIVE personality.
She would make a FANTASTIC majority leader in the Senate. MUCH better than Harry Reid.
Obama... you can just tell... he was meant to be a leader, not part of a "group" working toward consensus.
Just different personalities.

15. Leaning Obama, so I guess I'm now an Obama person, so: |
|
- she's been a great and eloquent champion of women's rights & children's rights
- I really believe she does want to see UHC achieved, however much I question her methods in trying to get there
- she helped prepare articles of impeachment against Nixon, who - prior to W - was the worst president of modern times
- she was an extraordinary First Lady
- some of her autobiography was compelling reading
There's more, but others will cover it, I'm sure.

OK, she's VERY smart, articulate, commanding of the issues, experienced, and capable. She'd be much better than an R. Obama is the much better overall nominee for the party going into November.)

77. She is one tough cookie... |
|
You have to admire her life story.
She has always been a fighter. She stood by Bill in Arkansas, and put her dreams on hold to further his political career. She always wanted to work for Marianne Wright Edelman, but she put that goal on hold for a while. That takes guts.
During her days in the White House, she endured so much smear from right-wing-hate radio. Limbaugh was at his peak and he incessantly lied about the Clintons for three hours every day. That must have been so difficult, to be the target of so much disinformation.
Then, she endured the Monica stuff. I just think it takes guts, to endure so much and to not give up.
Hillary is a fighter.

108. I think most justices should |

come from the federal judiciary. She has no paper trail, no scholarly articles, no judicial opinions. I don't even believe she had a judicial clerkship coming out of law school. She hasn't practiced law in ages, and when she did, she practiced corporate law, which requires very different skills than appellate litigation. She hasn't taught law or thought deeply about the law since probably law school.

and a fighter. She is a smart policy wonk (I mean this is a positive sense as I love wonks). And yes, the Clintons have been double dogged tagged by the right wing minions for a very long time. There is a reason that their hackles get raised easily. I would be defensive too. As an Obama supporter I just want someone to beat McCain and how we get there is fine by me.
Let's kick Grandpa Strangelove's Bush loving ass!

Not "bitchy," or "moody," you'll note I said. She's fierce. She reminds me of relatives of mine who take shit from no one at all. She reminds me of the elementary school teachers I work with, and if you've spend any time at all with primary school teachers, you know that that is a compliment of a high order.

As a senator I think she ranks among the best, and she does not need the presidency to have my continued respect and to be a prominent and effective public leader.

If her campaign does not extend past these next few months, I hope that-after taking some time to recover-she will begin using her profile and resources to help support some of our candidates for Senate, and thereby extend our Congressional majority. I look forward to seeing her help our nation recover from the Bush regime, whether as a sympathetic President or as a leader in Congress.

No lie. I'm 51% Obama and 49% Clinton for the nom. this year but when I was a junior in H.S., Bill was running in '92. I couldn't vote but I was so damned impressed with Hillary that I was motivated to become active politically.
As much as I love(d) Sander Levin (MI) and Bill in '92, it was Hillary's passion in the run up to '92 that got me involved in politics. Became an "Honorary" Precinct Captain for Sander and, by extension, for Bill.
In all honesty, she got this 'Troiter to work and fight because of her intellect, her dedication, and her seemingly peerless capability to stand up to rethugs. Almost 14 years later, I'm still doing what I can. Truthfully, I don't think I would've become as involved if not for the great Hillary Rodham Clinton.
