2. It's funny. In Houston, we have been showing her in Obama's camp for some time
I think she had intimated the switch before. What is the Texas total score now?

4. Remember when I said she was going to be in trouble for supporting Clinton?
Edited on Wed Feb-27-08 11:03 PM by TexasObserver
Some of those who are announced in Texas for Clinton will switch, because their constituency won't stand for it. Senfronia was one of them.

I think I also said in that post that Sheila Jackson Lee would hold out for Clinton, but other Texas black superDs were likely to switch to Obama. Al Green and Eddie Bernice Johnson already went with Obama (never with Clinton).

edit: parenthetical added for clarity

7. Congresswoman Johnson started off with Obama; she was never for Clinton.
Just wanted to make that clear -- it was a bit ambiguous. :hi:

8. You're right about Eddie Bernice. I hope I didn't give that impression.
She and Al have been right, didn't need to get right.

17. Well of course, he threatens peoples' jobs.
That's the only way he got MY vote.

He threatened my job with his 'Obamaglance'. Right after defeating the Hillary Five Point Fingers of Death frontal assault she tried the other day. That was before the subcommittee outrage of today.....Keep playing, though, SOMETHING will stick sooner or later.

Really. You have five days to get him.

18. Well...
He said Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. of Illinois had recently asked him "if it comes down to the last day and you're the only superdelegate? ... Do you want to go down in history as the one to prevent a black from winning the White House?

"I told him I'd think about it," Cleaver concluded.

Jackson, an Obama supporter, confirmed the conversation, and said the dilemma may pose a career risk for some black politicians. "Many of these guys have offered their support to Mrs. Clinton, but Obama has won their districts. So you wake up without the carpet under your feet. You might find some young primary challenger placing you in a difficult position" in the future, he added. ... .

19. And this means what, exactly???
"Many of these guys have offered their support to Mrs. Clinton, but Obama has won their districts."

I guess the will of the people means nothing. Maybe the stupordelegates need to withhold promises of support until their primaries are over.....Maybe....

Maybe they'll allow Florida and Michigan. Obama wasn't even on the ballot and Hillary ran a close race there, too. She might be able to get THEIR superdelegates, too.....

20. Will of the people? Does this mean that Kerry & Kennedy will be switching to Clinton? And, Obama WAS
on the ballot in Florida.

21. oh rest assured
Hillary will marshall all of the superdelegates to her side to overturn the will of the voters - through *magic power!*. In fact she has Ann Richards heading that project.
