Here's how Hillary should have referenced SNL |
|
She should have waited until two or three questions in - until after the second or third time they showed a clip and then followed it with a "gotcha" question -
And then she should have looked pleasantly at Russert, burst in a big smile and said "I feel like I'm in the middle of a Saturday Night Live skit."
She could have left Barack out of it entirely. It would have gotten a big laugh and made Russert and Williams look like the tools they are.

1. "Reference" is not a verb. The correct usage is "referred to." |

7. It can actually be used as a transitive verb |

and is commonly used the way I employed it.

leave the comedy to the comedians. She's at her best when she's talking about her vision for America. She's at her worst when she's bashing Obama. She's at her most cringe-worthy when she's trying to be funny/amusing/clever/sarcastic.

she doesn't seem to have the timing skills necessary to pull it off. Although in the New Hampshire debate she had one or two very funny riffs.

...that if Hillary felt that the media was being biased toward Obama, she would have been better off saying your line, "I feel like I'm in the middle of a SNL skit."
That would have come off a lot better.
She really started the evening off looking like a bitter marm.
