Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have ratcheted up their attacks on NAFTA, but senior members of their campaign teams have told Canadian officials not to take the criticisms seriously, CTV News has learned.

The Clinton campaign have denied making any contact with the Canadian government and given them blanket immunity to disclose who is supposed to have contacted them because it was not a member of their campaign. The Obama team has confirmed the contact to set Canadian minds at ease.

The polling in Ohio and Texas and Pennsylvania is tightening in Sen. Obama's favor.

Brief statistical summary: Among white voters, Obama is up 29%.

Among white women, up 21%.

Among married women, up 29%.

Among ages 18 to 44 years, up 30%.

Among those with no college degree, up 22%.

Among college graduates, up 38%.

Among self-identified liberals, up 26%.

Among self-identified moderates, up 32%.


That's a lot of folks.
