Some Questions I Have:
Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 01:33 AM by Dinger
1. Why haven't John Edwards or Al Gore endorsed anyone yet? (Unless they have & I'm wrong).
2. Should the United States Senate be a "stepping stone" type job? (directed at neither Clinton nor Obama)
3. Why did Edwards "suspend", but not end his campaign?
4. Why do I always root for the underdog?

1. Why haven't John Edwards or Al Gore endorsed anyone yet? (Unleass they have & I'm wrong).
There was a story I can't find a link to that they want to be "honest brokers" if the candidates are deadlocked. Don't know if it's true or not, but it seems reasonable.

2. Should the United States Senate be a "stepping stone" type job? (directed at neither Clinton nor Obama)
Historically, it hasn't been. The last Senator who won the Presidency was JFK. Many have run, few have been chosen.

3. Why did Edwards "suspend", but not end his campaign?
As understand it, that allows the candidate to pay his staff and other bills.

4. Why do I always root for the underdog?
Me too. Maybe because often the underdog is the better candidate but doesn't get media hype?

(Edited to correct stupid typo)

4. You are correct on 1 if you wondered. Yes they may need to step in
if this goes to far and broker a way out of a floor fight so we don't loose a chance at the WH. In 1968 the dems had a tumultuous convention due to a situation much like we have now. We lost the WH because of it.

2. I believe #3 has to do with matching federal funds...
...to be released in March.

That's why Romney suspended as well.
