If the only posts to have staying power around here were those that told us what you LIKE about your candidate rather than what you DISLIKE about mine. The same rule applies to Clinton and Obama supporters equally.

The irony is I bet at this late stage negative posts about Hillary or Barack change about .000001% of minds anyway.

And if all we shared were what we like about our candidate, we would be helping the party at large win in the GE. What a concept! :think:

that what is considered "negative" by some would be considered valid arguments by others. The only difference seems to be what camp you're in and what camp is being criticized.
although, obviously, there are negative stuff regardless. but for example, I posted a thread asking people to analyze why one campaign seemed to succeed and one did not. That was considered negative by some.

and so it goes.

I appreciate your efforts, though. I think if we could separate ourselves from our candidates and view them as employees applying for a job, and we're the bosses, I think a lot of hard feelings all around would diminish.

One thing I have gotten real good at is NOT dissing Hillary supporters in any way. I may state what I don't agree with regarding Hillary's actions specifically - but that is about her, not her supporters.

Obama needs both Hillary and her supporters to win the GE.

I have NOTHING against pros and cons of candidates, exploring weaknesses and strengths, how those may weigh out WRT our Repub opponents, etc.

The problem is, we can't do that here, alas.
It always turns into insults, and name calling. The ratio of mature people to immature is too low, and so it goes into a downward spiral of stupid, finally sucked into a black hole from which no light can escape.

This is too bad for us, because we have much we could be discussing in terms of tactics and long term strategy, and in down ticket races that will be crucial in determining what a future dem (or gods help us, repub) administration can accomplish.

But to have a simple moratoriaum on negative about a single candidate is pretty simple.
To not use -bot or -maniac, and other names is also simple.
