Hillary threatens to sue Texas Democratic Party
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/29/0116/19493/707/466090

The Texas Democratic Party is warning that its March 4 caucuses could be delayed or disrupted after aides to White House hopeful Hillary Clinton raised the specter of an "imminent" lawsuit over its complicated delegate selection process, officials said Thursday night.

1. That stinks. How many rules does she
have to try to change in the middle of the game in order to win? After this I hope she loses big time. She's earned it.

What little regard she has for the rules. Considering what we have in the WH now, who'd want 4-8 more years of that?

29. Here is a link to the letter which was sent...
http://media.star-telegram.com/smedia/2008/02/28/20/Campaign_Letter.source.prod_affiliate.58.pdf

The letter is addressed to both, but contains the following, somewhat telling, paragraph.

"As you know, the rules and procedures that govern the 2008 Texas primary and convention were actually developed by and utilized in previous Presidential election cycles by many of your key Texas supporters and have been available to your campaigns well before voting, or even campaigning, had started."

Mmmm, yeah, not a lot of Obama supporters around in 2004, were there?

21. Really now.. Obama loves caucuses,, his thugs push people around
if they're not voting for him. Like they did in Nevada..when Bill Clinton had to rescue restaurant workers who were told by Union Reps to stay home if they weren't voting for Obama or the ones who were intentionally sent to the wrong caucus location. You must mean that story, I guess.

30. Ha. Sorry, wrong.
Everyone who early votes is getting told to return to the caucus, at least it was at the early voting location I worked at.

And everyone who has been to any rally or campaign event has been told about the caucus.

I hope you're not running yours, because if so, you sound a bit unprepared to me. :hi:

31. Everybody knows about this now.
Besides, as I mentioned to you in the Texas forum, this system is eminently fair. It rewards 2/3 of the delegates according to the vote and the rest to those activists who take the time to show up. It's a Democratic primary -- those of us who work hard for the party deserve a little extra consideration IMO.

have an organized campaign on the ground that knew about the Texas system. Obama did!

"Ready on Day One" assumed she'd have it wrapped up by now, and once again was unprepeared. So now she's trying to cheat.

Go Obama!

If Hillary sues the Texas Democratic Party, she may get sued back. Discovery, here we come!

I'd like to sit her down for a video deposition to cross examine her on her knowledge and understanding of the rules, when she found out about those rules, when she understood those rules, how many Texas Democrats who back her and who are on the DNC understood those rules, and how she was able to avoid knowing or understanding any this until the week before the primary.

I'd like to get her sworn testimony as to what her internal polls showed, place those numbers on a graph used as demonstrative evidence, and have her pinpoint the moment in time when she discovered the rules hate her.

She's not a good liar, even though she does it a lot, and I'm certain she would either look incredibly stupid and incompetent, or simply a remorseless liar. All on video. All in time for the Pennsylvania primary. We don't even pick our remaining delegates until JUNE, so her subterfuge isn't going to get in the way of that. We can file an answer and counterclaim for our own damages and for extraordinary relief, seek a denial of her requests, and seek an evidentiary hearing before the court by the first week of April. We can seek and get an order for expedited discovery, a court order that she and her top staff appear for separate video depositions, and have a treasure trove of video for the News channels to pour over.

Go ahead, Hillary. Make my day.
