If you absolutely MUST post some vicious ultra-RW trash about one of our candidates on GDP, please put a disclaimer at the top before you do so, saying, in effect, "These are NOT my views. I'm posting them here to warn you about how conservatives may try to smear our prospective nominee, and I would like to brainstorm ways we can combat said attacks."

And if you're posting them to say, in effect--"Stuff like this is the reason why I don't think (Candidate X) should get the nomination," then you should try taking your head out of your ass before you post the article in the first place. Whether Clinton or Obama, in a few weeks the vicious ultra-RW smears will be flying fast and furious over the Internetz. It's not worth arguing who's going to get it worst. Neither of them are "safe," like old white men such as John McCain. They're both Democrats. They would both get roughly the same enthusiastic welcome from our opposition...

BUT, if you're posting to say, in effect--"Although I don't usually agree with this ugly ultra-Conservative newspaper, internet periodical, or commentator, they make some good points here about (Candidate Y) that really should get looked into..." you may want to start asking yourself if you really are, at long last, posting at the right website.

In closing, I never want to click on to a post comparing Michelle Obama to David Duke ever again. And no, I don't care if this wasn't the OP's opinion--they posted nearly the entire article with only a brief disclaimer at the bottom, saying: (I'm paraphrasing) "How do you think the RW media is going to use this?" Disgraceful. The DU'er was responsible for the content of the thread, and they should know better.
