Is Bill Press Anti-Obama? |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 10:20 AM by Araxen
I caught part of his show this morning on the way to work and he was saying the lie that Obama has no experience and all he has is charisma.

2. Yes--he said this yesterday to Tucker, too--that Obama is all personality |

and charsima, and nothing else. It was sickening.

3. I haven't listened to Bill Press enough to know his preferences, |
|
but I would like to remind some who post on this board that being "for" one candidate does not mean that you must be "against" the other candidate. For many of us, the remaining two candidates were not our first choice. We have arrived at our decision to support one instead of the other after studying the issues and the candidates. It's really a shame that we have such a divided camp here when we have two admirable candidates and both are making political history for the Democratic party.

7. Press has been a Clinton machine mouthpiece for years. They developed Dem party |
|
spokespeople before they left office - and THAT is who we have been stuck with - spokespeople who only know enough to defend Clintons and know practically nothing substantial about any other Democrat - not Gore, not Kerry and not Obama. THIS is why we NEED Dean at the DNC to develop a stable of NEW Dem party spokespeople.

Which I thought was really, really odd coming from Bill Press.

At some point in time, she's going to have to answer questions for herself, not look to her Mom for the answer.

It's fine he's for Clinton that is his choice, but he shouldn't be spreading lies about Obama or any other candidate just to get his Clinton views over. I listen to Thomm Hartman, Ed Schultz, and Alan Colmes radio shows almost daily, and I think they do a good job at presenting both candidates fairly.

"experience" thing, especially coming from the Clintons. Back in '92 the same charge was leveled at Bill. The governor of ARKANSAS with women problems running against an incumbent president with years of "experience." Back then he was the man from "a place called Hope." How soon we all forget.

23. Very much so. Bill had a great ride in the Democratic Party during the Clinton years. |
|
Bill Press was the real deal in the state party here in California in the 1990's. I threw a fundraiser and Bill agreed to show up at my home and then at the fundraiser and his "celebrity" drew such a crowd that we raised oodles of money for candidates and violated the fire crowd limits.
Those were heady days. I still love Bill Press, but he is way on board the Clinton train and shouldn't be attacking Obama.

24. FCC rules require there be one Hillary supporter on TV for every 200 Obama lovers |
|
If Bill Press is for Hillary, he is the ONLY talking head I can think of who is.
ALL the rest seem deep in the tank for Obama -- just like they were deep in the tank for Smirk in 2004 and 2000. (And just like they have been deep in the tank for the GOP plutocracy all along.)
Once the right-wing and the MSM have vanquished Hillary (with the help of cranky and naive Democrats), Obama will emerge as their new target and they'll do to him what they've done to every Democratic candidate this century (except LBJ, whom they feared). Redefine him, shut him up and generate a constant stream of lies about him.
When that time comes, Bill Press will probably be the only talking head for Obama.
By then, the rest of the MSM will be in the tank for the GOP.
As usual.
