Questions for Obama and Hillary supporters |
|
Edited on Fri Feb-29-08 03:15 PM by nomad1776
Obama supporters,
Do you think that Obama is going to win the primaries? If so, does it make any sense to knock Hillary or her supporters? Wouldn't it make more sense to try and start healing the rifts in the party? Wouldn't time be better spent posting knocks on McCain, instead of Hillary?
Hillary supporters,
Do you believe posting knocks on Obama is going to win over any supporters? Do you think that there is anyone at DU, that hasn't accepted that she is a fighter? Do you think there is anyone on the fence saying "if only Hillary was a rougher fighter..." or "I am thinking of voting for Hillary, but I really need a couple of more knocks on Obama....". Wouldn't it make more sense (and make people more receptive to your message) to try a more respectful approach? You know just work on pointing out Hillary's good points, and avoid trying to tear down Obama.

1. I think this will be a different place come wednesday morning. |
|
then, the pointing fingers of admonition will be unnecessary and the mods can do their job.

5. I can't wait for Skinner's announcement that there is a clear winner... |
|
Because that is the signal for all that you speak of...
We should be picking on McCain... you can only take that so far here too because of all the trolls.

I see you have twice as much angst against HRC supporters than you do for BHO supporters. Shocking! And whaaaaa??? Oh! A BHO picture! Shocking!
I think all y'all are nutty as freaking hell.
I'm for neither, but will vote for whomever gets the Dem nod in the general.

4. How exactly did you measure my "angst"? |
|
I am curious how you managed to measure something that is so abstract.

6. Count the number of critiques you have for BHO supporters... |
|
And then the number you have for HRC supporters... elementary.

"Do you think that Obama is going to win the primaries?"
Yup. Doesn't everybody?
"If so, does it make any sense to knock Hillary or her supporters?"
Until she concedes, yes. Clinton supporters are making an issue of staying in the fight until the convention. If you mess with the bull you get to deal with the horns.
"Wouldn't it make more sense to try and start healing the rifts in the party?"
I'm not worried about it. Once Clinton concedes, everybody will get behind Obama. Those saying otherwise are either bluffing, trolling, or fucked in the head.
"Wouldn't time be better spent posting knocks on McCain, instead of Hillary?"
I'd much rather get on to McCain, yes. All the more reason for Clinton to concede.

9. Born Agin, have you ever noticed |

That many disputes end as soon as just one side decides to take the high road? Usually doesn't matter which, it's just that one side has to reach out.
I will offer my opinion, the nastier and the uglier it gets, the less likely you are to see everyone come around.

Obama's been on the high road this whole primary season. It sure hasn't ended the nastiness.

It seems that the ones that are complaining the most that the other candidates supporters are attacking their candidate are the ones who are making the nastiest attacks themselves. We are so lucky to have two such amazing candidates. We need to stop attacking each other.
