Prediction: Hillary's "Call" ad in Texas will backfire. |
|
I just watched it and, trying to be objective, it came off as lacking authenticity and a stereotypical fear ad. People (finally after 8 years) are awake to manipulation. I can see the "liquid" Hillary support being turned off by this. My own father who is among Hillary's most loyal supporters is even turned off by her tone as of late.

1. It's a small thing, but the phone DOESN'T STOP RINGING ... |
|
It's an irritating-sounding ad -- I've only seen it about 3 times and each time I've been thinking, "OK, answer the darned phone!"
Ironically, in Obama's response ad, the phone stops ringing after around 5 rings ...

2. My sister and mother were both for her until recently as well |
|
now they say they are too turned off by all of her negative attacks and have jumped sides. They aren't the type that watch politics like a hawk, that aren't adamant about one side or the other either, they represent typical voters IMO.
Every time Hillary has another conniption fit, it's plastered all over the 5 O clock news. Every time Obama responds with firm kindness, it's all over the news as well. She's undoing herself.

3. It's not a "fear ad" or "fear mongering" or anything of the sort. |
|
It's a valid question.
The world IS dangerous. We DO have an enemy. I know some people here don't think we do, and I'm not going to argue that point with people who don't believe we have threats facing us.
The question of who you'd rather have in the Oval Office is a valid one. I haven't been a Hillary fan throughout this campaign, but this ad is one of her best so far, in my opinion.

4. Sure it's a valid question but |

coming from someone who will not meet with other leaders without stiff pre-conditions, voted for and supported this war tells us only one thing, she will attack other countries regardless of intelligence. I just don't see how her campaign didn't think this ad through, Obama nailed her on it through free press and she doesn't have a leg to stand on in rebuttal either.

All the negatives she's run with so far have blown up in her face; why should this one be different?
