Comedy Central is actively promoting that Sen. Hillary Clinton will be Jon Stewart's guest on "The Daily Show" Monday night.
According to Comedy Central, this is Clinton's second appearance on the program, the first since October 2003 (as seen here).
The appearance is timed, of course, to coincide with Tuesday's crucial primaries in Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Given that breakneck pace, there might be speculation as to whether she will be in the studio in New York or via satellite from, let's say, Texas or Ohio.
Not that we are in the business of giving political advice, but we suggest Clinton be in the studio in New York City. Barack Obama's first appearance on TDS happened to be by satellite because of a vital Senate vote. But he did much better the next time he was on when he was in the same room as Jon Stewart, plus you get to play off the crowd noise in the studio.
Plus, being the junior senator from New York doesn't hurt if you are actually in New York for the interview.
And in the interest of fairness, another presidential candidate is scheduled for "The Daily Show" on Tuesday: Ralph Nader.
