HRC calls Obama out on National Secuirty |
|
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N01259889.htm01 Mar 2008 23:08:49 GMT Source: ReutersBy Caren Bohan The former first lady, speaking in Texas, argued she was the only Democrat who can go toe-to-toe with Republican front-runner John McCain, a former prisoner of war who has been a strong advocate of larger troop numbers in Iraq.
"My opponent is now saying that raising national security in this election is fear-mongering ... . This is a wartime election and it matters who we put into the White House," the New York senator said.
"If Senator Obama is unwilling to engage me over national security, how is he going to engage Senator McCain?" Clinton told reporters later in the day.
National security has taken on a central role between the Democratic rivals as Obama, who has beaten Clinton in 11 consecutive contests, seeks to seal the nomination in Tuesday's nominating contests.

I only posted this cause people have doubted that she said this today, and I felt that it might be useful to post something with an actual link instead of just an opinion. I remember when we use to see a lot more sourced posts on DU. Take care I have always enjoyed your posts btw

For a second I thought Bush was talking. I guess Hillary wants to be a War President too.

8. You know what? I am part of the base. |

Have been for 36 years. My neighbors have also been part of the base for at least as long as I have been. We all support Obama, and we'll turn out and vote for him again in the GE.

|
Yeah, he's such a chickenshit. :eyes:
You ARE fear-mongering, Hillary. It's not going to work. If that's what it takes to win this Presidency, then say hello to President McCain.

12. Hillary called out Obama for using "republican attacks" |
|
Yet she is the one who is using the politics of fear. Its so pathetic. She's calling this a "wartime election." We all know this is an election in wartime, but this is the kind of lingo that Bush used in 2004.
She has basically picked up the Republican playbook and is using it on Obama. She said Obama is unwilling to engage her over national security? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Is she crying for more debates again?

13. I dont want another fucking wartime president. |
|
This is it everyone. We know what she is about. She wants to be a wartime president and is using the same tactics the republicans have been using.
Clinton you can KISS MY ASS! Thousands of Americans have lost their lives in this flawed conflict! If you want to be a wartime president you can do so in a fucking video game. I refuse to even consider you a candidate worthy of the nomination and I hope the good people of Texas and Ohio do the same.

And I can honestly say... they are giving Hillary as much attention as Barack this time!
I don't like the "3AM" ad. But apparently the press in OH does.
