Oh, that straight talkin, straight shooting maverick John McCain
1. Wanting to re-examine NAFTA will embolden Al-Qaeda. Two days ago, mclame told us that Obama's committment to examining NAFTA will result in Canada totally pulling out of Afghanistan.

2. Obama and Clinton's plans to leave Iraq will make Iraq a haven for Al-Qaeda. I mean everyone knows that Shiites consider Sunni-religious extremists to be their brothers. That the Kurds will welcome the Sunni-jihadists with open arms. That the Sunni's who have been victimized by the Al-Qaeda jihadists are waiting to be their buds.

3. That he welcomes the endorsement of Hagee. But, he does disagree with Hagee on certain unspecified issues. (How's that for straight talk)

4. That his 100-years in Iraq comment was taken out of context. Yet, he still has yet to provide an exit strategy, other than in 100 years we may be out of Iraq -- or we might not. (Yep. Straight talk heading down track 9 at full speed)

5. Speaking of straight talk... We learned in 2007 that the late Jerry Falwell was no longer the divisive voice of intollerance (this while he was still alive) Yet, the only two public things he had said of any substance in the four years since Mc Cain said he was (2002):
1. Gays, lesbians, the ACLU,abortionists, etc were responsible for 9/11 and
2. He was endorsing John McCain for president.

6. Universal Health Care = Socialized Medicine and it's bad. Yet, western Europe, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Canada all have it and there is no serious interest in any of these countries in eliminating it.
McCains comments to the contrary.

7. He is telling us now that he knew the war in Iraq would be a long and difficult prospect, but in 04 he knew it would be easy. (straight on with John)

8. In 2006, Sen. John McCain sponsored legislation to require grassroots lobbying coalitions to reveal their financial donors. In 2007, after receiving "feedback" on the proposal, McCain told right wing activists he opposed the measure. (As Maverick as ever)

9. In 2000, McCain accused Texas businessmen Sam and Charles Wyly of being corrupt, spending "dirty money" to help finance Bush's presidential campaign. McCain not only filed a complaint against the Wylys for allegedly violating campaign finance law, he also lashed out at them publicly. In April, McCain reached out to the Wylys for support.
(Yep. So Maverickly there John. Straight and Maverick)

10. McCain supported a major campaign-finance reform measure that bore his name. In June of 07, he abandoned his own legislation. (That's a maverick for you. Straight talk, straight shooting Maverick -- He's a Strahooverick.)

BTW;
Maverick definition:
1: an unbranded range animal; especially, a motherless calf

2: an independent individual who does not go along with a group or party

1. There is nothing even remote "maverick" about war mongers.

3. Well... I have heard that McCain is unbranded
so theoretically he could be definition 1

Although, personally I think he's got the brand of DUH-bya on him
