Obama will win Texas because his supporters care
Edited on Sat Mar-01-08 10:42 PM by thevoiceofreason
We care enough to work.

We care enough to canvass, to phone bank, to send personal postcards.

We care enough to sit down and talk with total, complete strangers who ask questions and explain his positions.

We care enough to go to multiple training sessions to be sure things are done fairly.

We are strong. We don't rest until it's over.

We are Obama.

Nevermind. What's silly is asking if anyone in this forum sees how silly there are.

11. Actually, it's not
I made 300+ phone calls today.

I spoke to many folks who were upset at the number of calls they had received. Upon inquiry, they were upset at Hillary robocalls -- 3 a day for several days. Had one woman ask me why they don't have real people calling her. I just said I don't know.

I'm not knocking your work at all. But the implication of your post is that Hillary supporters don't care, and that's obviously not the case.

8. he also is leading or tied according to most polls in early voting
which is good news because I tend to think many Obama supporters are more likely to turn out on election day, for instance, younger voters I think will vote on election day rather than early voting.

YOU ARE CULTISTS.

YOU DON'T DARE HOLD YOUR CANDIDATE ACCOUNTABLE.

YOU DON'T DARE ASK THE TOUGH QUESTIONS OF YOUR CANDIDATE.

19. Nope. Wrong again
We actually care. We are not guided by the winner take all, imperial appraoch of your borg. Our candidate cares and feels. His experience in community organizing wasn't a 3 month junket with his heart-throb -- it was his life for years. You have never really dug into the shallow experiences of your candidate.

46. Obama supporters don't care
to ask the tough questions of their candidate. They don't care enough to hold their candidate accountable, they are cultists, of one mind, whether the guy is right for job, obviously, they just DON"T CARE.

. . .and to insinuate the Clinton supporters don't care about her campaign is pure garbage. But what else can we expect from the land of oz.

25. I fashion that you are the cheerleader.
I didn't post during the day and early evening, when the Hillary folks seemed to have taken over this site, because I was on the ground working for my candidate. What were you doing?

In Louisiana, where I am from, we have a saying. It is "She got old too soon." Used to describe one who has lost the joy and passion for life and/or their life's calling. That's what I see in your candidate. "Stop being so hopeful everyone. It's hard work."

Don't et me wrong. Hillary is smart as the blazes. And I will support her in the fall if she gets the nod. But I will mortgage my house if it will help defeat her in the primary.

But threads like this come off as creepy.

Also Hillary's supporters care too.
and on a different note.
Nader's supporters care.
Ron Paul's supporters care.
Supporters normally care for there candidates(that is why they support them)

Nope, we care as much as we can. We are working hard. If the results don't go our way, then the voters have spoken. But, I don't think that television, poorly attended rallies and paid bloggers (not you) is the right strategy.

If you would read it, you would realize there is no blind mass movement involved. It is comprised of thinking, caring people. No one loves an accountant. By the way, your candidate is an accountant.

42. Meaning she wallows in the details and fails to rise and go for the big picture approach
And the we Are Obama, as I stated in another post, was just meant to be a play on We Are Marshall -- i.e., a rallying cry.

If you's meet me you'd realize I am the last person in the world who would/coould wear the "fanatic" label.

44. Obama's Texas Ground Game has 40,000 volunteers
Mr. Obama's under-appreciated strength is his organization.

He opened 20 offices statewide and began Friday to step up get-out-the vote efforts with block walking, phone banks and TV commercials.

The Obama forces have help, too: Organized labor, most notably the Service Employees International Union, is contacting voters on his behalf. And the liberal activist group MoveOn.Org will host house parties for him Sunday in Dallas and elsewhere in which 400,000 Texans will be contacted by phone.

Mr. Obama started here from scratch but had 100,000 volunteers already working in Texas. Some estimate his number of volunteers has more than doubled since his staff arrived in the state.

"A lot of this is volunteer-driven," said Obama spokesman Josh Earnest. "Those are the folks applying the elbow grease."

The Clinton operation has 18 storefront offices across the state and has recruited 41,000 volunteers. They are bringing in thousands more from other states, all to knock on doors this weekend and encourage supporters to vote.
