75. so that's why she's supported Bush so often
because "she's tough, brilliant, relentless and highly partisan."

Only time I've seen her fired up and ready to go in the past 7 years has been because of some campaign flyers. Never saw any comparable outrage over Bush, the war she supported, Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, Patroit Acrs I & II, loss of habeas corpus....

She can't even run a good campaign

13. Because Dems just have to keep nominating people who
will do absolutely shitty in the general election. Half the country hates her. Gee, there's a reason to nominate someone. Also, she whines the best about being asked to go first in debates, invokes Saturday Night Live in her debate answers, uses silly juvenile sarcastic stunts in her rallies, has multiple personality syndrome, and takes more money than the R's from fat cat corporations. All good reasons to nominate her.

17. According to Wes Clark...
it has something to do with her side of the bed.

Gen. Wesley Clark, a Clinton supporter and the former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, plugged the TV ad while introducing Clinton on stage and suggested that her tenure as First Lady prepared her to be president. "She's been in the White House when the tough decisions were made," Clark said, looking over to Clinton. "I guess you've been at the bedside when that phone rang at 3 a.m. in the morning."
Clinton was joined at the event by three generals, including Clark, and a Navy Rear Admiral.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/02/29/clinton-obama-missing-in-action/#more-5639

Personally I think it's her penchant for law suits.

18. So far we have...
Edited on Sat Mar-01-08 11:28 PM by ClassWarrior
..."tough, brilliant, relentless and highly partisan" - all platitudes that could be equally applied to Obama.

We have "One Word: COMPETENCE." Too bad we don't have several additional words to support that.

We have someone who can't be bothered to explain anything, but instead resorts to posting a YouTube link that no one will bother to watch.

And we have someone turning a prime opportunity to convince others into another chance to smear the opponents' supporters.

I'm convinced! :eyes:

links aren't needed.

You asked why I supported Hillary. I told you. I'm not trying to convince you, I could care less.

The original point was that you claimed Obama was just as partisan as Hillary.

I pointed out to you that in order to think that you must have a paucity of brain cells. It's demonstrably false.

73. Friend? Is Sen. Feingold partisan?
I'd say he's one of our most partisan Senators in the chamber. Yet he consistently wins Wisconsin with broad support from (I)s and (R)s...

So before you hinge an entire argument on a single word like partisan, please be sure to define it first.

59. I would dispute that
Obama was more partisan on the war wasn't he? He also has never been a Goldwater supporter. Nor does he have a spouse who basically ran as a Republican. He's less likely to put social programs behind a balanced budget, which Hillary has a stronger commitment to. And "fiscal responsibility" is a term that the DLC stole from the Republicans to "out-Republican" the Republicans. The way the DLC betrays progressive principles I would say that they are less partisan than anybody, and Hillary is more DLC than Obama. Obama is partisan, he just talks in a way that's inclusive and frames and sells the partisan message to a wider audience. YMMV.

"Reason #1 to support Hillary:
In Arkansas she was instrumental in straightening out their school system - taking it from one of the worst systems to a role model used by other troubled schools on how to improve public education.

"Reason #2 to support Hillary:
In 2006, she led the fight to kill the anti-gay Republican constitutional amendment that for the first time would have added laws to the Constitution that would INCREASE discrimination

"Reason #3 to support Hillary:
After being pummeled by the public for trying to pass Universal Health care while she was First Lady, she dusted herself off and in 1997, led a federal effort that provided insurance support for children whose parents were unable to provide them with health coverage.

"Reason #4 to Support Hillary:
She was able to secure a raise in research funding for prostate cancer and childhood asthma at the National Institutes of Health..."

http://www.davodd.com/2008/100-reasons-to-support-hilla... is where the another 96 reasons are. If you really want to know, that is.
