1. Just read where Forest Whitaker was from East Texas

Forest Whitaker Stumps For Obama

The Great Debaters star and Longview native Forest Whitaker will be back at Wiley College's Alumni Gym in Marshall tomorrow, this time on behalf of Barack Obama. Whitaker will be speaking in Marshall, Sunday at 12:45 p.m. in support of Obama.

He will then make his way to Tyler's Obama Headquarters at 3:00 p.m. That's located at 610 W. Southwest Loop 323. Whitaker will also make appearances in Dallas and Beaumont.

Also, Michelle will be in East Texas tomorrow.

6. East Texas has a strong black presence, and a strong populist presence.
Over time, many of the older, more conservative Dems that make up Hillary's base have moved into the Republican column in East Texas. Longview could go Obama, while Tyler could go Hillary.

I expect northern East Texas to favor Hillary, mid East Texas to be a quilted patchwork of counties going for one or other, and coastal East Texas going solidly for Obama.

The bigger a county's population, the greater the probability Obama wins it.

4. He's also a great and compassionate human being.
I've seen a couple of interviews, and he put me in awe.
