Obama supporters only: If you could have a 1 on 1 with Obama, what would you say/ask?
And also, what's the best way to give feedback that Obama will most likely get to see or at least be briefed on by his advisers?

If I could talk to Obama one on one, I would first tell him that he's put together an amazing group of people and running an amazing campaign.

Secondly, I'd ask him to address these rumors about him appointing repugs to the cabinet or much worse the VP position. I don't mind his rhetoric about reaching across the aisle but I absolutely will not tolerate a repug VP or cabinet member.

5. I would ask him to look at the case of Leonard Peltier and to pardon him on Day One
the "Peltier case" is one of the biggest reasons why I do not like nor trust the Clintons. Flame me if you'd like, but I was hurt badly by this as was Leonard who sits in a federal prison for more than 30 years now.

10. I'd share with him a potential vision I had late last week.
I stumbled across this great article (http://www.thenation.com/blogs/notion?bid=15&pid=292522 )moments after seeing Will.I.Am's latest inspired effort for the first time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghSJsEVf0pU

Having been nauseated by a foreign policy comprised primarily on bellicosity in recent years, I was thrilled to hear of a far more enlightened approach.

When I arrived at the phrase about Barack's desire to "expand the bandwidth," I had a vision.

I've had them before. Some have come true. This was one of the more, if not the most powerful I've ever had.

I envisioned a Peace Summit involving representatives of conflicted nations such as Iran, Israel, Palestine, and other nations being held at the Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland http://www.imaginepeace.com/tower.html during the first year of an Obama Presidency. It felt as though it could be in the Spring.

Please make it so. It would be so powerfully symbolic of an entirely new era.

12. Senator, if elected President - I ask only one thing. You have spoken at length...
of the woman who sent you a $3.00 check, and the man you met in Iowa who can barely afford his home, and the many people who face difficulties in every day life. I only ask one thing - Please think of those people each and every day you wake up, and with every decision you make on behalf the people - please do not forget them.

21. Sorry about that.
Sometimes it is nice to have a conversation among like minded individuals. I know that you can understand that. Why did your question have to be inflammatory? Isn't there something you would like to ask the candidate. I am certain that even though I am not a Hillary supporter there is something that I would like to know from her. A real question that would deserve an answer. Why attack? Hence the exclusivity. Peace, Kim

28. I gotta tell you, last night we were at a fund raiser
for progressive radio and the place was packed with Dems. Due to the large crowds there was only seating for one fifth of the people in attendance. The people with seats sat the entire three hours and when one of my friends asked to sit while the 'seated' went to the restroom the seat 'saver' tried to deny access. Seriously, I went to another empty seat and was denied a rest while the 'seated' went for food. It was a very sad commentary on where we have come as a nation. Hey..I got mine and if you don't have any tuff luck. Same goes at DU if it isn't about their candidate winning they will dirty it for everyone. Long story short... regardless of the lack of permission my friend had to sit down in the empty seat because her back was killing her, when the 'seated' returned my friend said to the 'saver' 'Thank you so much...that was so hopeful of you. Peace, Kim

Capitol Hill Watch | Dingell, Kennedy Introduce 'Medicare for All' Bill
Apr 26, 2007

Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee Chair Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair John Dingell (D-Mich.) on Wednesday introduced companion bills (S 1218 and H 2034) that would allow U.S. residents younger than age 65 to enroll in Medicare, CQ HealthBeat reports. Under the "Medicare for All" bill, residents would be eligible to enroll in Medicare or any of the health insurance plans offered through the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program, or they could continue to receive coverage under private plans. The legislation would shift the cost of coverage to the federal government, which would increase federal spending by about $600 billion annually.

42. I would like to know what it would mean on Feb 12, 2009 to rededicate the Lincoln Memorial
What will it mean to him to stand on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on the bicentennial of Lincoln's birth, as an African-American and President of the United States, and former Illinois state senator?

Will he dedicate our nation to "a new birth of freedom?"

We have for far too long ignored our history. We cannot but reflect upon it when Barack Obama is elected president.

First and foremost:
Contest any and all suspicious election results! Pledge to contest if any appear suspicious. Please work toward voter verified paper ballots. I don't care it it takes a month to count 'em, I want a paper I can drop into a box to be counted!
Don't give in to the pressure from the "Corporate Democratic Members of our Party" I am sure they are and will be applying much pressure.
Pull out of Iraq and use your diplomatic skills for foreign policy You are gifted with great speaking skills - a trait of utmost importance - use your gift for the good of all.

Oh, I could go on and on... Improving Native American Relations, Educational Gains, Jobs (of course), Health Care, Foreclosure help...etc. I have insights on so many items, as we all do, I suppose.

Thank you for restoring hope to my beat up democratic soul
