Has SNL become a mouthpiece for the Clinton campaign?
Edited on Sun Mar-02-08 04:34 PM by Unsane

Saw the sketches last night and more of the same: Poor Hillary is a victim of the big bad media, Obama doesn't know what he's talking about etc. What gives?

32. Well, now you have.
Howard Dean needs to step down immediately.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4845055#4845072

Kennedy has no credibility on this issue

He's as guilty as the rest of the Senate Dems who have done nothing to fight for a Dem agenda or do anything to help African Americans.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=4120817#4124882

Kennedy and Emmanuel can STFU

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=4120817#4128533

Yeah, just what I want is to be endorsed by someone who couldn't make a single smart decision during his entire presidential campaign and ended up getting schooled by an imbecile.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=4042849

Six flip flops on one issue? Kerry could do that in 1/10'th of an issue.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=4042849

He's the King of Flip and Flop!

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=4042849#4042930

He dissed Kerry on purpose just so he wouldn't get endorsed by the flip flop man. Who wants to get jinxed this early in the primaries?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=4042849#4042945

No one but progressives cares about Ted Kennedy, and most Americans hate him.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=3958502#3958514

Ted is remembered for being the Senator who got away with murder, and for running around drunk with no pants

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=4231305

when i think of baggage i think Mary Jo Kepechne

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=132&topic_id=4231305#4231446

And this doesn't include the two Chappaquiddick posts that I saw that ended up deleted.

I look forward to your response.

46. Not, just like an unfunny show.
I'm not an Obama supporter. I was for Kucinich and then Edwards. SNL just isn't very funny, and hasn't been for decades now. Amy Poehler is awesome but wasted (see the Upright Citizens Brigade, where she shines).

Seeing things through much of a prism are you?

13. To understand SNL in 2008 is to understand Lorne Michaels...
Edited on Sun Mar-02-08 05:01 PM by Cooley Hurd
Lorne makes his fortune off the talent he sucks the life, talent and career from. He's no longer "hip." He's a bloodsucking corporcrat who is always watchful of his bottom line. The starving writer from Laugh-In has found "his" and could give a crap about "yours."

SNL's spirit died with Belushi and Michael O'Donoghue. Sorry, but it's true...

So what exactly is your stance here? First you said she's not on the payroll, now you're arguing that she could be on the payroll. WTF?

18. Has SNL become a mouthpiece for the Clinton campaign?
YES.

And the show has had it's most lame season ever. That's quite an achievement. None of their current cast members are funny. Over the past decade the only talented cast members IMO have been Maya Rudolph, Darrel Hammond and Will Farrel.

Turned it off when the cartoon came on.

Enough. This season was a stinker before the writer's strike. Since they came back, even worse.

Fred Armisen as a vapid, piss poor Obama?! Wigga, please!

I'm done with SNL and 30 Rock. See if Tina Fey et al. can drag in Hillary voters to watch her shows. Like Hillary, they'll be in the rearview mirror by next weekend.
