Who else can't wait for Tuesday?
Edited on Sun Mar-02-08 05:17 PM by NJSecularist
I'm so excited. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Tuesday will be a lost day for me at work. I won't be able to do anything but scour the blogs all day looking for on-the-ground reports and crumbs from early exit poll results.

Tuesday can't come soon enough. It's like a Holiday for me.

7. We should start getting on the ground reports as early as 3 or 4 PM EST
While exit poll results won't come until a few hours later.

10. It'll Be A Long Day In The Eastern Time Zone Waiting For The Texas Results...
Unless the networks do one of their "insta-calls", and even then I'll have to stay up to yell at the pundits on my TV.

I hate early election returns.

With 1% of precints reporting, Candidate A is ahead.

...is news I'd rather skip.

12. Ohio polls close at 7 PM EST
Edited on Sun Mar-02-08 05:28 PM by NJSecularist
Texas polls close at 9 PM EST. And then they have the caucus.

We might not know who the winner is in Ohio and Texas for a while.

13. I am so looking forward to seeing the whine-fest
here from all the Hill-bots-who DESERVE every bit of the ass whooping coming their way for all the shit they have said and done to those of us who don't see it the same way they do in this primary-we don't support Clinton so it's OK for them to accuse us of every kind of disgusting thing they can think of including our intelligence and commitment to the liberal cause-they have really opened up my eyes

21. Have to be fair here.
Some Clinton supporters may have behaved that way but certainly not all of them.

I think it's important not to throw all of them under one blistering umbrella. There may be some that are going for scorched earth here but not all of them are.

22. yea well 3000 I love you and all but
we've had to put up with this crap for months now-first it was when they perceived Edwards as the main threat (who I supported then) and then Obama who I NOW support-and I'd say 90% of them have been pretty fucking relentless

14. I am anxious too and I am still not sure
who I'll vote for, I was going to vote for Edwards since he was my first choice. Voting for Edwards would really be a waisted vote though, right now I guess I am leaning to Obama. It really looks like a long shot for Hillary to pull it off, so I'm thinking we should just get it over with now, the longer we argue among ourselves the worse our chances will be in the fall. The part that worries me about Obama is the MSM has given him a free ride so far, I just hope he doesn't have any big skeletons in his closet.

17. I'm actually getting kind of sick over it.
My stomach gets all floppy thinking about it. I'm nervous and don't want to get my hopes up. I remember how I felt in November 2004 and I never want to feel that way again.

Can we skip Monday and go right to Tuesday?? Mondays suck, anyway....

I bet you it won't be a long drawn out night, though...just my prediction but I bet they call the TX popular vote for Obama by 8:30 or 9 pm (CST). Now getting the caucus results are another story if people show up for those like they have been for early voting. Then we have HRC camp threatening to sue over the TX Dem party putting $60,000 toward the voluntary get-the-caucus-results-in-ASAP.

See, TX Dem party law gives up to THREE DAYS for caucus results to be handed in and tallied but given that TX actually matters and all eyes will be on the state Tuesday night, the TX Dem party wants to do it's part to get the public the results---HRC's camp wants it drawn out, saying (from Ft Worth Star Telegram) that the expedited results would be "flimsy and half baked". So at some point Tuesday night we may very well get "breaking news" from TX that HRC lawyers are filing papers (or something along those lines??).
