So I watched 60 Minutes tonight with both Dem candidates
If this were a debate, Hillary won.

Despite Obama's injection that the world isn't going to put a 'time out' regarding our economy. (given we're still the key stone in the global economy, I'm not so sure he's right. But it is always best to move on one's feet, when possible.)

Either way, we have good candidates. At least, if they are as straightforward in reality as they are on television.

Looking forward to next week's segment!

4. Segment on 60 Minutes tonight.
She sounded resolute, sincere, and aware of the situation.

Yes, I know of her dealings with Tata, et cetera. But the article spoke for itself and she's looking to the future; I hope West coasters get to see it and hopefully it'll be replayed too.

I also liked what the grandmother with the white hair said about her -- at first I thought "Just because hubby did it doesn't mean she automatically can". Then she said "adviser" and she was right. As much as I've joked, reality is: Bill Clinton did put the budget on track and helped a great deal of people. (He's done some stupid things too, but who the hell doesn't?!)

She is looking to the future and she came across really, really well.

3. She's the better candidate
more qualified, more experienced. Being a woman should be considered a bonus, not a reason to reject her.

5. "She's the better candidate". The results so far easily annihilate that point.
Sorry.

10. Some people may have poor judgments when it comes to choosing.
The "winner" does not always indicate the best person for governance. I think we have evidence of that in our history.

13. Right. She's actually a better candidate. It's the voters' fault.
Whatever gets you through the night.

15. Quite. Isn't "American Idol" in its 7th season or something?
They all sound the same, except for Nadia and William. Nadia was booted for being too good and a breath of fresh air. William is the "Tiny Tim of the Twenty-First Century"...

7. Who said I rejected her on basis of gender?
Please save the defensive sexism slop.

Others have put bias for her based solely on gender, others want her SOLELY because of her gender. The latter group are no more sexist than those not voting for her because she's a woman.

I vote on what a candidate says, their competency, and their record. I don't care what color their skin is, or if they have a penis or not. And for any of these candidates, a prerequisite amount of faith is necessary too.

6. Really, do you find it strange that she took Obama at his word that he isn't a Muslim?
did that trouble you in the slightest?

8. Well,
some people like certain candidates for their pet reasons.

Hillary is ahead regarding foreign policy.

Obama had me with jobs, which is my pet reason - but my pet reason encompasses the most amount of people.

That and I haven't kept up with the bickering between the two; just make snide comments about it all. Don't tell me, and provide proof, she's said something on the record that should make me (and everyone else) feel troubled?

14. Two things;
1. "couldn't care less"
2. Then don't bring it up if you can't answer a question in return. :)

18. OK, here is the exerpt:
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/02/29/60minutes/main3894659_page4.shtml

“You don't believe that Senator Obama's a Muslim?” Kroft asked Sen. Clinton.

“Of course not. I mean, that, you know, there is no basis for that. I take him on the basis of what he says. And, you know, there isn't any reason to doubt that,” she replied.

“You said you'd take Senator Obama at his word that he's not…a Muslim. You don't believe that he's…,” Kroft said.

“No. No, there is nothing to base that on. As far as I know,” she said.
