It's more like a route. It isn't his third try to knock her out, he's just been steadily putting her away. And what times are changing? She had big leads in Ohio and Texas, and he's wittled away at them. As it stands, she has to blow him out in those two states, and she won't. Even if she wins both, it's still tough for her, because of the way the delegates are split up. If it was winner take all, she'd have a better shot at it, but it isn't. At best, she will go into the convention behind and still has to hope for the superdelegates to overwhelmingly go her way. I'm not even an Obama supporter, it's just a fact that she's in a very bad position.

This is not to say that Bill was a bad pres, but does no one remember what happened when they left the White House? They looted from the country, by stealing items that did not belong to them, from a house we allowed them to occupy. This is a "power couple" in every sense of the phase, and they do not care whose lives they ruin to get what they want.
