I sent Steph an email about it on Friday so she would know that we would be watching her on Larry King that night and supporting her using Hussein as her middle name.

A friend emailed this morning to let me know that Steph read my email on the air about 1/2 hour into her show this morning. I mentioned DU and sent her the url. I hope she read some of your new names on the air. Some had me laughing out loud last week.

She read your e-mail but didn't read the thread on the air at least.

Almost all the callers are pretending their surname is Hussein. It's really quite funny.

Oh and she read part of a 3 page hate letter someone wrote who had seen her on Larry King and was saying something like "see you're middle name is Hussein so you are admitting that you are a terrorist."

Did you hear the lady who called in last week who thoughtfully pointed out that King Hussein of Jordan was much beloved and our total ally?

That was a great reminder.

A very good reminder that the right wing will glaze over. It isn't about facts to them. And Hillary Clinton's "taking him at his word" bullshit is more of the same - winning at all cost.
