Can anyone link me to the fox news ratings for 2008?
This may seem irrelevant, but it is very relevant. Fox news ratings are a good indicator of right wing support. When Bush was at his height of popularity at the beginning of the Iraq war, Fox News ratings skyrocketed and they increased their profits 200-300%. When people began to see through Bush's lies in 2006, Fox News ratings plummeted.

I think that the change in Fox News ratings in 2008 compared to other news channels would be an informative piece of information. I have not been able to find such info. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

1. Media Bistro's TV Newser blog posts weekly ratings for all the cable news channels:

2. To be more-specific, they also have a ratings-only blog, here:

I did some quick exploratory data analysis and found no large significant change relative to other networks. Oh well. However, it does seem that MSNBC is catching up to CNN and Fox in terms of ratings.

4. There has been noticeable growth in some MSNBC ratings over the last year.
Just as an example, look at the most recent ratings, for Feb. 28, in which Countdown beat the O'Reilly Factor in the 25-54 demo -- if that's not a first, it's definitely one of the few times it's happened.

Unfortunately, those gains aren't matched in other areas. Fox and Friends' ratings, for example, have grown by leaps and bounds, while Morning Joe's ratings are less than those of Imus a year ago.
