If you are going to call on Clinton to drop out - regardless of tomorrow's outcome - don't
Chances are you are an Obama supporter and such a call, therefore, has as much validity as a similar one coming from anyone on Newsweek, NBC or MSNBC.

And, please, don not justify it in talking about "party unity." Again, such a concern has as much authenticity as if it would come from Karl Rove, or from any one of the Republicans and Independents who voted in the Democratic primaries and caucuses for the one they considered would be a better match for the Republicans.

It is her campaign and it is up to he to decide whether and when to pull out.

1. It'll go on after tomorrow, because Obama will probably lose--that's OK, because
he can still keep pace in delegates and he's got a good shot in WY amd MS.

3. Obama will win Texas.
Even if he doesn't win, he'll still probably end up with more delegates. Hillary must win big to gain any delegates on Obama.

there will be an intervention after tomorrow.

12. She is the candidate her efforts, her energy, her career
She can seek advice, but as with abortion it is her decision.

If it were Obama who were losing, would you have the same reaction?

After all, his all campaign is "me, me, me." No ideas, no specific, only: look, I am black and I am beautiful.

30. That is the one of the problems with this country..
they try to say they don't see skin color but they do. They will judge Obama about his qualifications when they did not about Edwards. I was asking some of the same questions about Edwards last time around I was wondering why was everyone jumping on his bandwagon. They will throw up a lot of nonsense against Obama that they never would to any white male or female.

She didn't tell Biden or Richardson to pack it in.

Hillary needs to quit tomorrow UNLESS
She has no shot of leading in pledged delegates unless she wins by HUGE numbers. She needs to fall in line after Obama gets what he needs tomorrow.

7. As long as she wants to stay in and plays by party rules, she can stay in...
right into the convention.

That's the purpose of the convention, afer all.

4. 2025. That's the magic number. First to get there within party rules wins.
Even if it goes to the convention, which, after all, is the PURPOSE of the convention.

11. Sure...and I'm also sure...
...that you'll be here bitching when McCain wins in the fall because Hillary spent yet another month hammering on our party's eventual nominee. But hey...as long as her ego is happy, who cares about the country, right?

Let me make this as simple as possible, in case you missed it the 9000 other times it's been posted: HILLARY CAN NOT WIN. She needs close to 70% of the popular vote in the states that are competitive or that she's favored in in order to carry roughly 65% of the pledged delegates. She simply can not do that. Period. End of story. The only person she is helping by continuing to attack Barack Obama on a daily basis is John McCain.

Lets allow the ambitions of one person to destroy the Party just as we have the chance to retake control and right the many wrongs done to our country by Bush.

Good choice.

17. just because I called on her to drop out last year
http://journals.democraticunderground.com/hfojvt/63

Does not mean that continuing to harshly attack the presumptive nominee is gonna be good for our chances this fall. In fact, it fits exactly what I predicted. That she cares more about herself than she does either the Democratic Party or the United States of America. She could always prove me wrong by endorsing Obama on March 10, but I am not sanguine about the chances of that happening.

19. I hope she stays in until she ruins her career and becomes a laughing stock. If she gets out
this week she will still be a viable voice in the party. I'm not convinced she's that graceful though.

My guess is that the Super Delegates will stream to Obama and that will be that. Richardson and possibly Edwards will endorse Obama.

I used to argue she should call it quits for the good of the party; Now I'm thinking she should hang on against all odds for the good of the party.

23. It is not her Party. If her campaign threatens to damage the Party or it's chances in the Fall,
then Hillary needs to step aside.

If she cannot understand this, and decides to go the selfish route, she will be pushed aside.
It will not be pretty and her political career will be over.

It is up to her. Do what is best for the Party, Hillary.

27. Obama's supporters CAN NOT deal with the stress of a real campaign.
And that just plain sucks.

C'mon kids, grit your teeth and smile! This is POLITICS! Yee-HAW!

The hundreds of calls for Hillary to drop out -- happening for well over three weeks now -- are the prime indication that their brittleness is getting to them. Too much more, and they'll implode, and they know it.

If they can't deal with two months of mild stress over an internecine slap-fight, how are they going to take on John McCain and the entire 'Publican party apparatus?
