cool CNN delegate count game (non-partisan post)
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/29/delegate.counter/index.html

sorry if this was already posted.

its a cool way to see "what if"?

for example, if you split every contest down the middle, obama wins. If you only change N.C. and everything else down the middle, clinton wins.
(I think) you can have fun playing with it.

I mean this for both sides. its cool.

6. I input the latest polls for the remaining contests
(unfortunately there isn't a way to use popular vote as input, only thing you can do is adjust the delegate counts...)

I left the Super Delegates alone.

To even the total delegate count AFTER Puerto Rico... Hillary needs to win 259 to 105 in the remaining Super delegates. And neither one wins the nomination!

And that's factoring in "wins" for Hillary in Ohio and Texas tomorrow.

Fun tool.

I emailed them saying that it was off because of the Texas caucus etc and they actually emailed me back.

8. sadly I think this confirms my worst fears
that regardless of what happens on Tuesday neither is likely to drop.

Push the sliders for Tx Oh and Vt all the way to one side (which won't happen) and the other candidate still has a possibility of winning without having to pick up everything.

:(

It's good in some senses, but terrible in others.
Not only does it mean that we're headed for a superdelegate showdown, but that by the time of the convention Clinton and Obama may have damaged each other to the point that neither will win in the general.
