Susan McManus, take it to court
Charlie Crist, We'll have a new primary
A new primary would cost 18 million, a write-in wold cost 4 million and who will pay for this?

1. McManus is a GOP lackey. Crist did not say he would pay. |
|
There is not going to be another primary.

3. Where did I say Crist would pay for it? |
|
He just said we should have another primary. Blitzer said it would cost that much.

5. I don't think FL and Mi will affect the outcome anyway |
|
What's Hillary's net gain from both of them? about 55-60 delegates. Not enough to reverse their positions. So unless some radical changes occur I expect them to get seated but not tip the balance.

7. Hey, the FL legislature passed the early primary date unanimously. |
|
They knew what the consequences would be when ALL Democrats in the legislature voted for the bill. Now they are crying because they thought they could play 'Let's Make a Deal' and the national party isn't buying it. If some of those Democratic legislators had voted against it, I think they would have a better standing with the national party to make some sort of deal but they didn't. They made their bed, now they can lie in it.

10. Did every single Democrat have to vote yes? |
|
Edited on Mon Mar-03-08 06:35 PM by tyedyeto
Who twisted their arms for that vote?
Like I said, if some of those Democrats had voted nay, then their ability to make some sort of deal would have been seen in a more favorable light by the national party. How can you expect the national party to change rules in mid-stream when their own party members voted for this bill?
edit for typo

11. Charlie Crist isn't a Democrat. |
|
His opinion on this is worth exactly nothing.
And the US Supreme Court has already ruled in similar cases that the national party has the right to stipulate the rules under which delegates may be seated at the convention. So any attempt by the Florida or Michigan Democratic Parties to overturn the DNC ruling on the status of their delegates is an exercise in futility; precedent is against them.
