I never thought I would praise CBS Nightly News |
|
But their coverage this evening has been even and balanced -- not like the nuts at CNN and MSNBC who must have been paid off to shill for Hillary. They discussed the election, did not treat advertisements as news items, and gave information istead of silly-assed conjecture. I am having trouble saying this but, here goes -- "Thank you CBS for a balanced evening news program." Hell, I might even watch Letterman tonight as a reward to them.

1. And, to boot, a great interview on local CBS news. |
|
He is so comfortable visiting with people. He doesn't have to be cast as an actor to do so.

2. MSNBC schilling for Hillary, you must be kidding. |
|
You must have a different MSNBC than I do. Hillary hasn't gotten a good work on Olberman for several weeks now. Be assured this is not coming from a Hillary fan but rather a staunch Edwards supporter. However, facts are that MSNBC is Obama his own advertising outlet free of charge.

5. One reporter -- ONE -- (from Slate) actually called Hillary on her line |
|
One, and I repeat one, reporter so far has asked "exactly what experience has she had that qualifies her for this job?"
One.
Every. Single. Other. news outlet has just taken that absurd claim at face value and ran with it.
She has gotten a free ride for over a year now. The constant, pitiful complaints about how "unfair" these unquestioning press have been just make it worse -- hell, half of the articles in the media about Clinton seem to be about how sadly unfair the press have been to her.

11. Which candidate running for president |
|
has had any experience being president? None. Its a silly issue. As I heard on NPR last week from somebody (dont recall who) Clinton is on a job interview, Obama is on a date. Hillary on a free ride? Thats funny. Hell why stop at one year? She's gotten a free ride for twenty years right? Until one of you Obamaites or Clintonistas convince me otherwise, I'm writing in General Clark next week when I vote.

12. It depends on the show |
|
For example Tucker Carlson has Hilary Rosen as his most common Democrat. She is 100% for HRC - and she has long standing hatred for at least Kerry and Dean. (To the degree that she and Carlson thought Kerry only a little better than Farrakhan as an endorser.) I don't recall how she acted towards Edwards.
Chris Matthews has mood swings - but they rarely swing to her advantage. I think he ultimately is McCain. In 2004, he was frustrating as whenever Kerry was there he obviously impressed him then the next day he was back on and again in love with Bush.
For a long time I thought KO was too much Edwards, then too much HRC, but then he moved as the news moved he was too much Obama. I now think he is simply good.

NBC did. I learned that Obama initially lied about it and is now backpeddling.
