Voting problem in Texas - people turned away at 7am
Voting for 2 precincts is at the building in which I work (not my precinct). My coworkers know I am politically active, so as soon as they hear about this, they told me.

It seems that the polls were not ready at 7am and were turning people away. Now for some folks, that could be the only time during they day they could make it here, so that is just NOT right. People are voting now, but I made sure that it had been reported. I recognized an Obama staffer out front, and she was already aware of it and had reported it to several people.

I am right across the hall from the room where they are voting, and now they know I am keeping an eye on them.

1. For cryin' out loud, there's no excuse for not being prepared. They
knew what today was and that turnout is supposed to be big. I'm glad you're there to police them, Lisa. Pls. keep us posted.

7. Congratulations on not recognizing sarcasm when it hits you in the face!
Unless of course you are being sarcastic, although your smilie indicates otherwise.

11. You know, I thought I was pretty fair in my sarcasm too.
I didn't exactly single out fans of either group. Didn't get to read the reply before it was deleted, but reading comprehension seems to be lacking around here quite a bit in these crazy days.

6. Excellent!
The thing here is that Galveston has a LOT of people without personal transportation, so it can be difficult to get to work and home, much less try to make it to the polls TWICE. I just hope everyone who did get turned away is able to make it back here.

8. My wife and I were the first two in at seven today.
The voter logs were printed in reverse alphabetical order, and the geniuses working there took forever to figure that out. No one knew how to operate the voting machines. Glaze ice on the sidewalk outside the door. Very poorly prepared for what is sure to be a record setting day. Then, as we were leaving, a guy walked in,(white guy, fifty-ish, beard, camo sweatshirt) announced that he had never voted in a democratic primary before, and stated that he was there to vote for-

Hillary Clinton.
