I am afraid the ONLY way to beat John McCain is..

with an Obama/Hillary ticket or visa versa.. BOTH sides will HAVE to swallow there pride/ego and work TOGETHER.. It is the ONLY to unite the party.. Kennedy and Johnson did not like each other.. but formed 1 ticket.. We are adults here.. they are professional politicians.. There is just TOO much at stake.. WE can NOT allow McCain to win.. for the sake of all soldiers in Iraq, for the sake of the Supreme Court, for the sake of ANY chance of health care..

1. the RW would consider that a ticket made in Heaven...
their smear machine would have to work overtime to keep up with all the crap that would want to put out...

and us Dems have not shown any reliable support for the 'other' candidate in national polling....

where does HRC make BO a stronger candidate?...in her across-the-board negatives nationally compared to McCain?

We need strength to unify the ticket, not vice versa, not this election.

We need a ticket that gets the most support throughout the voting public...not a ticket that makes both sides of this primary 'feel like they won SOMETHING'...

2. No way, that is NEVER gonna happen
neither candidate would pick the other as the VP.

This is simply not going to happen

3. I agree, not gonna happen. I think, at this point
the only way to beat McCain is to nominate Obama. Hillary has lost core dems because of the dirty tactics she's used, and she needs EVERY dem. Obama is smart enough to choose a VP who will help the party win the GE, and it's not going to be Hillary.

Obama won't have any trouble beating McCain - the contrast between the two of them is quite striking, and we have a lot to fight McCain with. I'm not worried, as long as Obama is the nominee.

4. wrong. The only way to beat McCain is to get the Democrats to the polls
It's a HUGE advantage we have going into this. MCCain is SO beatable. He doesn't even have the support of his party, just the press , which he refers to as "my base"

Pride cometh before the fall.. I lot of Hillary's core women, elderly and hispanics will end up sitting out.. or splitting there vote.. they will NOT enthusiastic supporters.. and THATS is what we need to win..

6. It's beyond the point of no return, especially in the light of HRC's pro-McCain anti-Obama
comments.

8. Sheesh!!
Oh GROW UP!!! Hillary was just fighting.. no worse than stuff Obama has done.. and not 1/10th of the stuff that will be coming from the Republicans.. If ya can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.. If THIS is really how most Obama and Hillary supportes react to Amercian politics.. McCain can start to measure his curtains now..

11. john mccain aint sh*t, hes nothing to worry about
Edited on Tue Mar-04-08 01:15 PM by goletian
as long as the democrats can stay together until november, mccain has NO chance of winning. the american people have had 8 years of bush already, they dont want mccain to give us another 4. just because republicans can rally around him doesnt mean the others who are sick of the warmongers arent going to outvote them 2:1.

18. are you kidding me? mccain is lucky hes even walking and talking right now
the guys already outlived his dad and granddad, and his bush policies have outlived their welcome in this country. dont let the hillary and repub spin convince you otherwise. mccain is a joke to be running on more of the same, the guy has no chance and dems should not be afraid of him.

14. After Hillary basically accused him of being an inexperienced mulsim, Jesse Jackson clone? Nope
Shrillary might be angling for McCain's VP slot, though.
