18. Me too, and I KNEW he'd be turning up again as soon as I |
|
heard Kerry was going to be out of it again for a few days because of the rotator cuff surgery.
Keep your eyes peeled, folks, 'cause my bet is that the Kerry people are booking Wes into every venue possible for the next few days.
I think it's great, BTW, that Edwards is now out there speaking on domestic policy, and that Dean too is out and about, still being Dean but for Kerry's benefit now instead of for himself.
However, with the current intense focus on national security and foreign policy questions--thanks to Dick Clarke-with-an-e--Wes Clark-without-the-e is the guy, still and always.
BTW, as to the Gephardt rumor: it seems to me the Kerry camp floated that "trial balloon" so Kerry could point to the overwhelmingly negative response to it when he breaks the news to Gep that he's given the Veep nod either to Wes Clark or John Edwards.
And while nobody's asked, it's been my firm conviction all along that Wes and JK have an agreement that it will be Wes, UNLESS by some miracle the Iraq/alQaida mess should somehow vanish from the country's radar between now and July--or by May if certain rumors are to be believed.

12. I heard his voice and went running |
|
I wonder why they didn't have him interact with the panel. It was strange how they had him in the wings instead of joining the discussion.

So were Katrina Vanden Heuvel and Bernstein. Liked when Bernstein sorta of scoffed at Thom Friedman's bullshit.

15. Ah wish I had caught it... |
|
I know he was on a few weeks ago as well. He's been doing a good job -- really attacks the administration on why Iraq wasn't an immediate threat and why Bush has F*ucked it all up.
He'd make a great VP or any other position in a dem admin. for that matter.

16. Just caught the rerun! |
|
Wes was brilliant as usual.
First, he does an in depth military analysis of the situation in Fallujah.
Next, he does political strategy.
Finally, he does geopolitical strategy for the Mideast region.
He leaves all the wanna-be's in the dust!
