John Kerry 2004 = John Kerry 1971
If David Limbaugh hates Kerry this much, then maybe he still is that same Kerry we saw on the Dick Cavett show. Personally, this makes me have a warmer feeling towards Kerry muahahaha.

John Kerry 2004 = John Kerry 1971
by David Limbaugh
April 2, 2004

Since Democrats will only tell us how much they loathe President Bush and what he's doing wrong in the War on Terror, never offering their solutions for us to critique, let me tell you a few things I fear about a Kerry presidency.

Frankly, the prospect of John Kerry becoming commander in chief at this critical point in our history horrifies me, mainly because I believe the John Kerry of 1971 is the John Kerry of today.

Just imagine someone with the mindset of Jane Fonda circa 1971 leading our war on terror. Forget the allegedly doctored photographs showing Kerry and Fonda together. We don't need to know that these two may have met to discuss the evils of American "aggression" against the North Vietnamese.

We know from Kerry's own words that he possessed the same contempt for America's cause and our armed services around that time. And don't tell me that his distinguished military record immunizes him from accountability for his later despicable behavior.

1. Also, "John Kerry = Jane Fonda"
So let's try "David Limbaugh = Julius Streicher".

That's exactly what I'll tell you......not sure about your record, Dave-O, but your junkie brother and his coke snortin' side kick have become quite the armchair warriors in their later years....too bad they didn't put their asses on the line when it was their time.

If you didn't pay, you can't play.

The Rightwingers just don't get it. Kerry earned the right to protest the war. Dimson and the Chickenhawks have no rights to protest that.

3. Why are you posting this David Limbaugh crap?
I'll take the John Kerry of 1971 over the George W. Bush of 2004 any day of the week. Speaking of 1971, what was Bush up to back then? Snorting cocaine? Driving drunk? Arranging secret abortions for his various girlfriends?

6. I thought Democrats believed in the First Amendment...

;)

The reason why I posted this is because I'm hoping that President Kerry will still be that same idealistic Kerry of 1971.

I'm also happy to see assholes like DL worried. That means we're doing something right!

8. Perhaps if the Republican Flock of Chickenhawks had done their
tour of duty, we wouldn't be in this mess now. That's the lesson the Democratic leaders like Kerry, Kerrey, and Cleland learned a long time ago.

You don't commit American blood and treasury to further the political/economic agenda of a few corrupt politicians. Sadly, America is learning this lesson all over again.

1. Haven't libs offered a solution (i.e. let's teat terrorism as something requiring police action)?

2. Forget the doctored photos? Nice. = forget how we're lying, smearing shits.

3. I think history is on Kerry's side regarding "America's cause" during Vietnam("Fog of War" anyone?). But regardless, comparing Vietnam to "the war on terror" is just plain faulty.

9. A Copy of My Letter to David Limbaugh
Dear Mr. Limbaugh,

I'll say the same thing to you that I have to say to every member of the Neocon Chickenhawk Brigade who were born to kill but not to serve. When you have won three Purple Hearts from risking your life in the service of your country, feel free to impugn Senator Kerry's patriotism and motivations for opposing the war (Vietnam or Iraq).

Until you do, you're just another blowhard armchair warrior, much like the President you so admire.

Regards,

XXXXXXXX

P.S. Since you condemn Senator Kerry for opposing the war in Vietnam (you know, the one you didn't serve in), I guess that leaves you to defend the wise policies of Messers Johnson, Nixon and Kissinger. Lots of luck with that.

10. I like what he did in 71 but lets hope he has grown.
Times move on and I am sure John Kerry has also. I am sorry the GOP is still fighting Vietnam and sorry we lost but those are the facts. It is like Korea we ended up where we started. History is history.

12. If Kerry was still the same guy he was in 1971
I'd be campaigning for him :(

Limpdick II is even more pathetic than Bush Jr. He's done nothing in life but sponge off his junkie brother's fame.

14. I thought Kerry was great on Cavett
and it speaks well for his core values. What I was also stuck by was the way that both men were civil to each other, not cutting each other off, etc., even though they had very different views. Far cry from how things are today and we have the Right wing-nuts to that for that.
